"Buried deep within the over 1,000 pages of the massive US Health Care Bill (PDF) in a “non-discussed” section titled: Subtitle C-11 Sec. 2521— National Medical Device Registry, and which states its purpose as: “The Secretary shall establish a national medical device registry (in this subsection referred to as the ‘registry’) to facilitate analysis of postmarket safety and outcomes data on each device that—‘‘(A) is or has been used in or on a patient; and ‘‘(B) is a class III device; or ‘‘(ii) a class II device that is implantable.” In “real world speak”, according to this report, this new law, when fully implemented, provides the framework for making the United States the first Nation in the World to require each and every one of its citizens to have implanted in them a radio-frequency identification (RFID) microchip for the purpose of controlling who is, or isn’t, allowed medical care in their country. http://waysandmeans.house.gov/media/pdf/111/AAHCA09001xml.pdf

Class III devices are pacemakers and such. The most restrictive devices. These can already be easily detected with or without RFID markers, like by the TSA at airports

The definition of Class III and implantable Class II devices is not in question.

But feel free to argue with yourself about it.

I question your reading ability. The portion of the law governs tracking information for implantable Class II and Class III medical devices (pacemakers, screws, braces, plates, etc.).

It does not mandate an implanted RFID chip in every American though I'm sure Alex Jones would be very happy if you believe that nonsense.

You can call up Alex Jones and cry to him that some mean scoffer is still literate enough to fail to take his word for these things.

PurpleRose - others.. as much as I despise obama and his satanic bunch after reading the part of the document I understand it to mean the registry will contain info about devices "used in or on a patient" - model, type serial# etc. This is going to be a database of information about medical hardware.

I wouldn't be surprised to see obama, congress and the US Communitarian Not-So-Supreme Mafia Court use it to somehow legally justify the implantation of rfid devices. But as written, it does not specify that such action.

You got it backwards. The "Paul Movement", really the "Liberty Movement", is being infiltrated by Republican blowhards just like they infiltrated the tea-party movement and made them practically worthless today. 9/11 truthers built the modern day "Liberty Movement" because they seek freedom from the lies and corruption that is so evident from the events of 9/11 and the government's massive cover-up of it.

No, Truthers built their own massively-rejected Truth movement. They failed.

Many of the same people, knowing they were rejected by the public, latched on to Ron Paul and have tried to drive their own agenda instead of his. Alex Jones was a ringleader in drawing this element into the Liberty movement.

I expect this will continue now and the Liberty movement will be no more than a forgotten exercise in wingnuttery in the next few years. Akin to the failed Perot and his Reform Party but far less successful.

Anyway, you guys can Truth out all you want over the corpse of the Liberty movement. The rest of us won't be there in your cozy Circle of Truthiness. Some won't turn out to vote LP and Gary Johnson, the more Religious Right types will go to the Constitution Party and vote for Virgil Goode (the CP is largely composed of old Reform Party types). In the end, the vote totals will amount to less than million votes combined.

Notice the two Lefty candidates (Nader, McKinney) had a vote total of 900K while the two Right candidates (Barr, Baldwin) had a vote total of 720K.

And I think you'll fare worse in 2012, a year for partisan hacks on steroids.

Hell, even Ron Paul is avoiding your Paul rally at Tampa. Just as he is avoiding the Libertarian ploy to holding a competing rally to pick off Paul supporters to support Gary Johnson.

So go ahead and see if you can push Johnson into your Quest For Truth. Might be entertaining to watch Gary's reaction. Maybe you can manage to push his vote take from Barr's 2008 total of 500K down to 200K. Or lower. What a victory for Truth!
