Yeah I have an idea for your peels. Steep them well in potassium chloride and offer them free to the various gin mills in Georgetown and it's surrounds.
This year he told me to plant lemon peels. I did but so far they are not up yet.
Give lemon seeds a try and you should get a very pretty tree which with enough sun will produce lemons with peels.
Interesting thing about potatoes is that the sprouting eyes are poisonous and this resulted in potatoes being peeled. As a precaution potato figured out that discarded peels would would grow into a plant and perpetuate the species, an indication potatoes smarter than people.
