As much as I like Blade Runner (Original Cut) I have to go with Avatar as my all time favorite Science Fiction movie.
I've seen them both, Avatar IMHO was awesome. I don't seem to understand the criticisms of it from the lefties. The criticism from the war mongers I understand, but couldn't disagree more with. One of my favorite Scifi movies was Re-animator, a bit campy, but I am a bit that "way".
Well, I suspect that in dealing with the lefty loons that you make the mistake of thinking rationally and not analyzing everything from the point of view of Dialectical Materialism - which is largely devoid of logic. They don't like it because the truth hurts. In their warped minds killing inconvenient "lower orders" simply makes good sense, and if they dare to fight back then they're "filthy turrists'".
