Ron Paul, who is still technically running for the Republican nomination, says he has not decided whether or not he’ll vote for Mitt Romney.

“I have not made a decision,” Paul told Fox Business Network’s Liz Claman and David Asman.

When asked what he thinks about Romney as a candidate for president, Paul responded, “Compared to whom? He certainly offers different things than the current president. But the current conditions make it rough for anyone. They are going to have a very though job.”

Paul and Romney reportedly struck up a friendly rapport on the campaign trail, The New York Times noted in February.

The relationship between morality and liberty is a directly proportional one.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”

Exactly why I say that the lot of 'em, despite my having held out hope for Ron, are pigs down to the one of 'em!!!

I was certainly disappointed when it became apparent that Ron was just another tool of the establishment, but not all that surprised. I think ANYONE who can get elected to a national office is bought off.

That, or my theory that aliens have infiltrated our world at all levels is actually true, where they are setting things in motion for global human extinction so that they can take all they desire with absolutely no resistance.

If our leaders were actual human beings with minds that functioned correctly, they'd see the treachery perpetrated by Israel, and if anything, treat Israel as they did Iraq and Afghanistan. At minimum they'd enforce sanctions against it, and giving them money and weapons would be seen as an act of treason against the US.

by the way, i believe the evidence does show that paul is indeed a mason. some people may not care but the fact is, they are not trustworthy. I am glad to say that i publicly disavowed ron paul and withdrew my endorsement of him early this year when he tried to justify killing unborn babies. I was appalled. what a lunatic peice of trash that family is. good grief

I began having questions, which I have not voiced that much, as far back as 2008. I just didn't know whether it was because he was under duress or a willing participant. His being a Mason does trouble me. I do not think Masons are necessarily evil, but that they will, by their oath, favor their "Lodge Brothers" first and above all other considerations of rightness and justice. Witness "Jack The Ripper".

Artisan: I am glad to say that i publicly disavowed ron paul and withdrew my endorsement of him early this year when he tried to justify killing unborn babies.

carenotus: When did this happen? I read everything I can find about Ron Paul, have watched all or at least most of his floor speeches and read his column every week.

Ron Paul said in a (February?) CNN interview with Piers Morgan that he would administer an estrogen shot (which could prevent fertilization/pregnancy) if a woman who was raped went immediately to the emergency room. He did not say that he would do that if any test evidence indicated there was a pregnancy. Because tests that early wouldn't be a guarantee that no pregnancy had occurred yet, he was pilloried as ok with abortion -- at least in those uncertain cases. He also said in a Jay Leno interview that he wouldn't ban the morning after pill -- said the abortion issue would be solved by people's morality changing, not the laws. Also (not being a Catholic), he prescribed birth control as a doctor and said during the Leno interview that he had. Then he was pilloried as eugenicist like George H. W. Bush.

Ref. 4um Title: Ron Paul is okay with early term abortions and the abortion pill. Will 'principled pro-lifers' still support him?

Any particular reason why "you" should not donate????

I wasn't talking about "you" meaning people in general, even though I don't think our Founders intended for any of our elections to be bought as they are. I meant you -- Cynicom -- shouldn't donate to any candidates. Ron Paul did nothing in his 2008 run or now to warrant your Shylockian/Merchant of Venice impersonation as if you were owed a "pound of flesh" from him and his support base for whatever the amount was of your supposed "contribution". Surely he wouldn't even have wanted it under those conditions.

Ron Paul was not a Congressman when he resigned from the Republican Party in 1987 to run for President the first time as a Libertarian. In his 2008 run, his constituents had elected him to office as a Republican and he had a responsibility to represent them as the Republican they voted for, despite all the other politicians who care nothing of that responsibility to their voters and switch parties for their own benefit after gaining office party-pretentiously. Apparently, his representation responsibility to his district and their opportunity to send him to Congress again should have been discarded, in your opinion, to give you your "money's worth" with a third party Presidential run in '08 but, in order to gain ballot access in certain states, he had agreed then not to run Third Party. I'm not sure but that might not be the case this time [Edit to add: and he doesn't have to run for Congress again, so maybe he will consider a 2012 Third Party]. He only had 14 pledged delegates and 34 estimated delegates at the end of the '08 GOP race but stayed in it until it was over and I was still able to vote for him in my State to be President. I don't consider it a wasted vote. I think everybody who didn't vote for him wasted their vote for more corruption.

Is America, its misused Military, the Constitution and Liberty Revolution, and even this forum's atmosphere better for your Shylockian campaign against Ron Paul? I don't think so and don't understand it but you seem to delight in it. Says more about you, though, than it does about Ron Paul.

Edited for spelling, spacing, bracketed insert in paragraph two and to reword a sentence there after it.

Yes, it is personal. If I wanted to talk to the wall, I don't have to come here to do it. Am I the only one you expect to not address you personally about your personal Anti-Ron Paul campaign? -- or just anyone and everyone who is critical of it, as if you have some special dispensation from unfavorable commentary on your actions? What does that remind me of? A four letter word that begins with a "J" and ends with an "s".

After Ron Paul took us to the cleaners in 2008,

He didn't and he wasn't running a horse race, either, on orders that he be sent to a glue-factory if he didn't win for you and your investment. Your Ron Paul hostility is unfounded. iirc, it began when a media outlet refused to run a campaign ad for him that you and this 4um tried to arrange and was slow to refund the money for it. That wasn't Ron Paul's fault and it wasn't his fault that the nomination went to McCain -- undoubtedly due to the same sort of Party and media riggings that we and the world have seen run against Ron Paul this time. As I said before, he agreed for '08 to not run Third Party in order to gain ballot access in certain States. He also had a responsibility to continue representing his constituents as a Republican. Evidently, that means nothing to you. Why not?

Edited last sentence of paragraph 1.

Does the possibility ever enter your mind that just perhaps Ron Paul was not serious about running for president?

After the Trotski memo, there were many Paul supporters that dropped their support and accepted what Paul wrote as the gospel.

Pauls actions have been consistent for years now, it is past time to accept him at his word and find someone else to support or withdraw from the system.

After the Trotski memo, there were many Paul supporters that dropped their support and accepted what Paul wrote as the gospel.

We've discussed the so-called "Trotsky memo" before.

Ron Paul 2008: Message from Ron

Quote what your complaint is about. He said, "this Revolution is permanent." He noted that Trosky had also said that about the Russian Revolution, so as not to plagiarize the statement. So what? He then said of his own Revolution and ours: "It will not end at the Republican convention. It will not end in November. It will not end until we have won the great battle on which we have embarked. Not because of me, but because of you. Millions of Americans -- and friends in many other countries -- have dedicated themselves to the principles of liberty:" He talked of his own "determination to fight on, in every caucus and primary remaining, and at the convention for our ideas, with just as many delegates as I can get." He said, "with so many primaries and caucuses now over, we do not now need so big a national campaign staff, and so I am making it leaner and tighter." He explained that he was "committed to fighting for our ideas within the Republican party, so there will be no third party run." I've explained that he had agreed not to run third party to get ballot access in certain states. He explained, too, that he had "another priority": "I have constituents in my home district that I must serve. I cannot and will not let them down. And I have another battle I must face here as well. If I were to lose the primary for my congressional seat, all our opponents would react with glee, and pretend it was a rejection of our ideas. I cannot and will not let that happen." I also have explained that he had a responsibility to his constituents to represent them as the Republican they voted for and to continue representing the Constitution for them and all of us, if he could, which would have been jeopardized by switching parties then. The situation is somewhat different now if he chooses to run third party, since he doesn't have to run for Congressional re-election, but he still has a responsibility to represent his constituents in his district as a Republican for the remainder of his term.

Anyone who dropped their support over any of that wasn't seriously a supporter, imo.
