Nice to see kids who care to master an instrument and have great talent.
Most of today's music is shit. But, I was born in 1961, so maybe I'm just too stupid or close minded.......8)
I've seen few who could play like that in real life. As far as music here in the US, yeah most of it IS shit. The Europeans on the other hand are doing some really amazing things, in fact, Sam Coulson is British.
There's all sorts of music from Europe that never makes it to US airwaves.
On a side note, saw Eddie Van Halen when they did their first tour with Black Sabbath. Am pretty sure it was at the Arena in Seattle. Van Halen only had the material from their first album. Michael Anthony broke two strings, never missed a beat, Eddie was a freak.
I remember seeing Black Sabbath with Kiss, and a few years later I saw Van Halen at one of the California Jam concerts along with Cheap Trick, Aerosmith, and more than a few others I can't remember off the top of my head.
Both were awesome concerts, and something I'll always remember. When I saw Van Halen, Dave Roth pretty much stole the show, but Eddie and the rest of the band were equally great.
Back to the Sabbath concert. Ozzie was mesmerizing and Sabbath played better than I've heard them play on albums. It was unbelievable.
