Daily Paul Liberty Forum

Robert Ringer:

Several colleagues and I recently had a forty-five-minute meeting with Ron Paul, and it was more than just a bit revealing. Although I am not at liberty to share much of what was discussed, let it suffice to say that Paul will not be speaking at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, nor can you expect to find any of his immensely popular ideas incorporated into the party platform.

MittMan and his wave-averse team of advisors apparently are intent on sticking to their game plan of putting out lots of gobbledygook, sidestepping controversy, and silencing would-be wave-makers. Anyone who knows anything about politics realizes that controversy is anathema to an unprincipled politician who is obsessed with winning an election at any cost.

Awhile back, Grover Norquist wrote that “Ron Paul is the only candidate for the Republican nomination whose endorsement will matter to Mitt Romney. It is the only endorsement that will bring votes and the only endorsement, if withheld, that could cost Romney the general election.”

Norquist was right then, and he’s even more right today. Bad news for Romney: Paul will not be giving him an endorsement, and, as a result, many Paulists will either be voting for Gary Johnson or sitting out the election entirely.

Norquist is correct. If Paul withholds his endorsement, Romney is likely to lose. Ron Paul carries a considerable clout with many of a conservative bent.

They barred him from speaking at the 2008 Republican Convention too but among their selectees who did so were:

Pro-Abortion candidate, Rudy Giuliani, who had exited the race early on in January.

Democrat Joe Lieberman, who had run as Vice President on Al Gore's ticket in 2000

and two businesswomen:

Carly Fiorina, former Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett-Packard

Meg Whitman, former President and Chief Executive Officer of eBay

Go figure.

anyone who believes that a ron paul endorsement of romney would get paul supporters to vote for romney is retarded. If anything, they'd abandon and condemn paul, & would rightly do so in such an instance.

They blockaded and undermined him every which way they could, then and this run, so I for one won't be buying into any schtick-premise that they excluded him now on account of his delegations contesting their disenfranchisement and coercion by the "GOP grand poobahs".

You're right about that. If Ron said now that all he had ever said before about the issues his supporters cared deeply about was just so much bs and that he was going to support Romney, Ron wouldn't have any supporters. If he did something like that he would be lucky if the people who supported him the most and the longest would give him enough money to buy a cup of coffee.

I disagree. Ron Paul people are by nature more independent. Look what happened when Paul's son endorsed Romney. It did not bring votes to Romney, it lost support for Rand. If Ron were to come out and endorse Romney, Paul supporters would feel betrayed period. It would not sway them to vote for Romney. His vote gains would not be significant.

Romney is damaging the Republican party. The Republicans are not going to wake up and smell the coffee.

Romney is damaging the Republican party. The Republicans are not going to wake up and smell the coffee.

True, but the larger picture is a runaway criminal entity called the FEDERAL (reserve bank owned) Government.

Millions of grown adults continue to "pretend" that they live in a free country that is guided by representative government, authorized (created) by the Constitution. This form of denial is allowing for the murder of millions of innocent people in order to satisfy the filthy banker cabal that owns the soul of anyone that remains supportive of (financially through taxation) loyal to (sending sons/daughters off to war) or even subject to these shit eating elites.

Amerikans are suffering the same psychosis as a battered spouse -crying, whining, and loving the evil bastard that continues to abuse her while claiming love dominates the relationship. No mature adult should find theirself compromising their values for these filthy baby-killers.

Continuing conversation about which candidate is worse is idiocy. Continuing to let these perverted sons of bitches any authority to run our lives is extreme lunacy that actually implicates the low self-esteem suffered by most of America.

America, get the fuck off of your knees. You do not have to suck Uncle Sambos dick.

I'm at zero tolerance for anything FEDERAL.

Romney is damaging the Republican party. The Republicans are not going to wake up and smell the coffee.

I disagree. It's the average Republican voter who is damaging the Republican party. They are not going to wake up and smell the coffee because they have no values and no morals. They don't care about the coffee. They only care about beating whatever Democrat boogieman is put before them every 4 years. Obama could switch parties today and run as a Republican and 99% of the Republican base would vote for him - because the Democrat he would be running against is worse!

It was the Republican Party that voted for Romney. They voted for him because the majority of grass roots Republicans are not conservative and have no faith that conservative values can win against the socialism of the Democrats. They are Democrat-lite and therefore elect Democrat-lite candidates like Romney.

They elected Romney because they are as left as Romney is. They believe in socialized medicine like he does. They believe in perpetual war like he does. They believe in gun control like he does. They believe in the all seeing eye of the police state like he does. They believe the government should control every aspect fo their lives and take care of them like he does. They do not believe they are capable of taking care of themselves, just as Romney and all socialists believe. On the flip side, they hate Ron Paul because they are so far left of Ron Paul. They know they are frauds and he is the real thing. They hate Ron Paul because he is a mirror that makes them see themselves for what they are - spineless jellyfish with no moral base - and they don't like what they see.

Romney isn't going to damage the Republican party because Romney IS the Republican Party. Next election cycle they will embrace someone even further to the left. Someone like Bloomberg.

Calling Ron Paul an isolationist is like calling your neighbor a hermit because he doesn't come over and break your window - unknown

I WITHDRAW MY CONSENT!
Any perceived compliance with unconstitutional “laws” or orders put forth by government employees is NOT recognition of their authority; it is simply the result of carefully calculated submission to an entity exhibiting superior firepower.

Yeah, it's like, "do I chose the rack or the iron maiden?" It is very American these days to offer choices like we get in our elections with a straight face that I'm sure they don't maintain when the good old boys of our shadow government get it together to party as an elite power group symposium of one sort or another.

I'm more of the school of musing like, "passport, use it or not?" That is more real then whether I want one sort of governance, or another that is behind door number two that is much the same as what is behind door number one.
