I went to a dentist a year ago who wanted to treat my teeth to a dental filling. I've never had cavities in my life but the dentist insisted I had two. So, I requested from them to not treat my teeth with mercury fillings. The assistant, who could not even get the snap shots of my teeth right at all looked at me strangely and said, "We use mercury fillings on all our patients." I told her I insisted on not having the treatment done and she asked why. I told her patients have a right to determine what treatment they are comfortable with. She kept arguing with me about the benefits of the fillings. Never did she offer an alternative treatment. So, I just got up and refused to have them do any work on me at all. I never went back to that practitioner again. I went home and decided to do some research on holistic treatment. I remember reading about the dangers of mercury fillings several years ago. I discovered that not only mercury but the fluoride in the toothpaste may also be responsible for dental problems. It's actually bad for your teeth. I have not used toothpaste in over a year. Instead I use a mouthwash and brush using baking soda after every meal. And I take Green Pastures butter oil/fermented cod liver oil blend.

I go to holistic doctors and dentists and therefore don't have to argue with idiots.

I do the same. When I injured my shoulder in 2010 from doing moving of furniture all by myself, I realized I had dislocated my right shoulder. I managed to get some help from a massage therapist who specializes in holistic theraphy. She did a fine job of easing the pain. I can use most of the arm now but back then I was in so much pain I could not even shake anybody's hand let alone work with it much.
