Hi, my name is Xander and me and my friend are looking for a place we can go shoot hogs at. We will harvest some of them but not all. We can pick them up after shooting and take them somewhere on your land to dispose of them if you would like. We are both 21 and we are both responsible hunters and have all required state licenses and our hunter education course. We both live off 1431 in Round Rock,TX. We are looking for a place that is at most an hour and a half away. If there is a place for us to stay as well that would be great, but if not we could stay in our trucks or use tents. Thank you ahead of time for taking the time to read this.

My number is 512-767-xxxx.

CL people must have no spell-check feature on their machines, I guess; that or they add their words to the dictionary...

My best objective trade was $420 for a Home Depot gift card with a $640 balance. There are bargains out there, but sifting through all the other offerings shows me the real state of this economy. And it's not wonderful.

Charge the farmer $X per head and that would be a great job! With the damage these hogs do, there's money to be made.

And, could this be a tax write-off for the farmer?

Feral hogs are such a problem here that landowners generally welcome hunters.

There are several commercial operations such as HogStoppers.com that are addressing our problem. Another company here has night hunts from 'choppers using infra-red sights and AR's.

If the landowner pays for eradication, it's another business expense to him.

I'm not really familiar with wild pork, but if they arent riddled with parasites, and the meat is good, many might benefit from this. I don't see a down side. Unless of course one has a charging boar slice open a leg artery.

They're such a problem in Missouri that Wildlife and Conservation urge people to kill them on sight!

Unless you put any credence in Scripture (which IS a personal decision):

Lev 11:7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he [is] unclean to you. Lev 11:8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they [are] unclean to you.

I don't see where it distinguishes between wild and "domesticated". I think this "law" was intended for our own good, NOT the Creator's....

I never understood why my dad didn't see the humor in some of my childhood pranks either. All I know is that I learned my quality of life was considerably better when I conformed to his "rules"! :)

UH - questioning his "rules" didn't help matters either.... They didn't change
