On February 23, 2012 a jury of Gordon's peers ruled in favor of Shawn and Cheri Carroll and sent a strong message to the Gordon clan denouncing their fraudulent schemes. In a unanimous verdict, the jury awarded the Carrolls complete victory, including punitive damages in the amount of $8851.19, plus attorney's fees and court costs. After our victory against them, naturally they appealed. I thought a PDF of the verdict of the appeals court had been posted online, but apparently it hasn't yet. In short, the appeals court UNANIMOUSLY affirmed our victory. Will they take it to the MO Supreme Court? Time will tell. I really don't expect them to, but......
Now there are 4 more cases pending in the courts involving Gordon's crap. AND I've heard that there are now CRIMINAL charges, however this is only hearsay for me as I have not seen the filings. That news DOES come from a credible source though, so I'm anxious to find out for sure.
I have gotten to know Shawn and Cheri Carroll very well. You will NEVER find more honest, upstanding, decent people on the planet! I was so glad they won (although I never doubted for a second that they would). And of course, the Gordons have appealed that case too.
Although victorious, dealing with these cases just plain "wears you out". NONE of us want anything more than to just NEVER have to deal with the Gordons again, to the point that most people that HAVE had to deal with it have moved away or are in the process of moving away. The Carrolls are no exception. They are relocating to a different state. I wish them the very best!!! Shawn and Cheri are truly a BLESSING upon everyone who's lives they touch! Words simply can't describe how wonderful they really are! I feel very fortunate to know them, and they will be missed by those of us who are still here.
