DID WASHINGTON KILL ITS FAVOURITE SAUDI PRINCE, BANDAR BUSH?

August 2, 2012

Following unofficial reports by Voltaire Network that Prince Bandar [bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saoed] of Saudi Arabia was assassinated on July 26 [2012], analysts pointed to the government of Syria as the prime suspect. The motive is clear: revenge. Days earlier, Prince Bandar reportedly oversaw an intelligence operation that caused the deaths of Assad’s top generals.

But the question that must be asked is who else wanted Prince Bandar dead besides Syria? What if a different party is responsible for his death? There are several interpretations about who was behind Prince Bandar’s death because the Saudi leadership is not releasing any information about this shocking story. This article represents only one interpretation. It takes as its premise that the government in Washington is the suspect.

I admit this is conspiracy theorizing, but it is grounded in facts and history. In the attempt to find out why Prince Bandar was killed we must not concentrate on the obvious and point to Syria. Appearances can be deceiving in these situations. If it is shown with proof and official statements that Syria was responsible then take this article’s conclusions as a conspiracy theory, and nothing more.

But until the world knows with absolute certainty who killed Bandar Bush and why, it is our task to ask questions and look at every possible angle. We must keep in mind that many people wanted to see Prince Bandar go away; for some, permanently. A man like him makes a lot of enemies.

Last year, historian Webster G. Tarpley explained on the Alex Jones show that Prince Bandar was preparing to say goodbye to Washington and move Saudi Arabia closer to nuclear Pakistan and China. Over the years, dissent within the Saudi royal family has grown, and it seems that the question of which nuclear power to look to for protection has divided the leadership the most.

The recent assassination of Prince Bandar makes Tarpley’s analysis from last year that much more important. According to Tarpley, Prince Bandar was distancing himself from the American Eagle. He knew his regime was targeted by Washington for regime change, so he started looking at Pakistan to provide security. Naturally, Washington would be pissed by Bandar’s aggressiveness.

The prideful Eagle saw a rebellion looming in Saudi Arabia’s inner circle and wanted blood.

II. Prince Bandar Bush: A Man of Two Clans

Prince Bandar Bush was truly a man of two clans. As Washington’s adopted son, his fate was tied to a hostile house that is famous for disloyaty and betrayal. He was planning to strike against his American father, and as a result he was no longer considered the favourite son in the family. The American father wasn’t in the mood of tolerating a rebellion. So he took out his whip and made sure the Saudi prince knew who was the boss.

There can be only one prince of darkness in this world, and he resides in the White House in Washington.

It is generally known that Prince Bandar was one of Al-Qaeda’s chief financiers but he should not be made the scapegoat. He acted merely as an executioner for the tyrants who control the CIA, Wall Street, and the White House. The sin of creating Al-Qaeda belongs to the CIA alone.

III. The Eagle Sees All: Washington Refuses To Be Checkmated

In this interview with Alex Jones in April 2011, historian Webster G. Tarpley discussed Prince Bandar’s decision to move Saudi Arabia closer to nuclear Pakistan and China, and away from the United States because of its “color revolution” policy. Tarpley says that the prince was wise to Washington’s plot against the Saudi royal regime and sought a future in which Washington was no longer Saudi Arabia’s superpower patron.

Here is an excerpt from the interview:

“The idea that Bandar is turning towards an alliance with Pakistan in order to defend Saudi Arabia against the U.S. is a kind of strategic revolution. Up to now, Saudi Arabia has relied on the United States for security. But now the people around Bandar see, obviously, that Obama is the main threat, that the U.S. regime, the CIA, the NED [National Endowment for Democracy], are the main threat to the internal security of Saudi Arabia. So they’re looking for an option. Now once you say Pakistan, of course, you’re also saying nuclear weapons. You can say in a certain way it’s quite possible that Bandar has arranged that Saudi Arabia is now under the Pakistani nuclear umbrella.

This is quite a new thing in world affairs. These are two countries, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, who have been under the US yoke, totally dominated by the US, bombed in the case of Pakistan, who are trying to make a jailbreak.”

Later in the interview, Tarpley added that an alliance between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, China, and Russia would signal the end of U.S.-British dominance in the Middle East. Washington would essentially be checkmated had Prince Bandar succeeded in disconnecting Saudi Arabia from Washington’s iron grip. This bold move would’ve marked the start of a whole new ball game in world politics.

IV. Washington’s Dark History of Double-Crossing Its Allies

It is said that great powers don’t have permanent allies, only permanent interests. In the case of Washington it couldn’t be more true.

In the late 1970s, Washington threw the Shah of Iran under the bus in a dishonourable fashion after discovering that he had cancer through the Shah’s right hand man, General Hossein Fardoust. Instead of letting the Iranian people decide their own political fate, Washington acted against the Shah by destabilizing his regime while covertly supportinghis successor, Ayatollah Khomeini. Read more about this secret history in, “An Epic Deception: America’s Overthrow of The Shah And The Secret Quest For A One World Government.”

Washington is cold-blooded in its mad pursuit of hegemony in the Middle East, and that is normal behaviour by a superpower. But we don’t live in normal times. The nuclear age and the era of a lone superpower don’t mix. One is coming to an end, hopefully both. Washington must give up its hegemonic power and ambitions peacefully, or else it risks dragging the Middle East and the world to the nuclear abyss. IW

The media blackout is near total on this story. The silence on the part of authorities following the reports of stunning attack in the heart of the Saudi capital is really unprecedented.

Even alternative news sources are reporting very sparsely on this topic and vary wildly in their interpretation of these events. We have Debka (Iran did it through Al Qaeda hirelings), voltaire.net (Syrians did it in retaliation for attacks on its security council in Damascus killing three generals), Tarpley and others (who blame the West).

If you've tried to search the net for answers on this story, you'll find a brick wall. The Arab News, a Saudi mouthpiece has this:

Last week, Thierry Meyssan wrote on Voltaire that Prince Bandar was killed along with his assistance Mishaal Al-Qarni in a bomb blast on July 26. The same day, Prince Bandar appeared with Prince Khalid bin Sultan at a function. He was also present at the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' reception for princes in Jeddah. This shows that the propaganda against Prince Bandar only aims to stir instability and anarchy. Thierry Meyssan's tirade is a part of the Iranian and Syrian propaganda. He was directed to write this fabricated story in response to the bomb blast that killed top Syrian military officials.

There are no pics or any video to back any of this up, and we've had no statements from Bandar since his appointment as the intelligence chief in Riyadh,so folks are still scratching their heads. I'm inclining to the theory that he's been injured and/or incapacited. Islamic custom requires a funeral within 24 hours of the death of an individual, and event like that even conducted in private would be difficult to keep under wraps. I'm also inclined to accept the plausibility of our involvement in the Riyadh attack.

If Bandar is cutting his long-standing and extensive ties here (he sold his 36 room mansion in Aspen this summer to Billionaire John Paulson bought Hala Ranch) there may be good reason. Justice is investigating huge bribes (in the billions) that he got from British Aerospace and he is also under investigation in the HSBC mess, according to reports. And if Saudi is really switching sides and jumping ship on the Anglo-Americans to avoid the fate of Diem, the Shah, Mubarak, the Somozas, Saddam and others jilted by us, it portends cataclysms in the offing. A Saudi Arabia is, after all a cornerstone of the NWO.

Anyhow, whatever the disposition of his bones, living or not, the attack on the newly named chief of Saudi Intelligence (and the widely reported death of his deputy) has been likened to the the June attack on the Archduke Ferdinand of Austria that foreshadowed the guns of August 1914.

If anyone on 4um has heard any leaks or rumors though any of their sources, I'd sure like to hear what they have to say. - randge

It maybe that Prince Bandar was involved in many events with the Bush family dating back to Bush Sr and Cheney.

And more recent on Bandar here:

The Role of CIA-pampered Saudi Spymaster in Syria

by Ismail Salami / August 1st, 2012

An enigmatic personality who has periodically vanished from the scene of politics in different junctures in time, Prince Bandar bin Sultan was appointed as the Director General of Saudi Arabia’s main intelligence agency on July 19, an appointment which took place at a critical time, namely when the unrest in Syria was growing gravely worrisome thanks to the influx of the Saudi-funded rebels infiltrating the Syrian soil.

Known as ‘Bandar Bush’ on account of his close ties with former US President George Bush, the prince-cum-spymaster is widely considered as a linchpin in CIA-Mossad dastardly subterfuges in Syria and Iran and his appointment to such a sensitive position is from an intelligence point of view regarded a strategic step to contribute to the materialization of these sinister plans.

On July 18, a blast rocked the headquarters of the National Security Bureau (NSB) in Damascus and killed President Bashar Assad’s brother-in-law and Deputy Defense Minister Gen Assef Shawkat, Defense Minister Gen Daoud Rajiha, former Defense Minister Hassan Turkomani and NSB chief Hisham Ikhtiar.

The role of CIA and Mossad in Syria unrest is highlighted in an article dated July 18 by David Ignatius who is well-connected to intelligence sources, “The CIA has been working with the Syrian opposition for several weeks under a non-lethal directive that allows the United States to evaluate groups and assist them with command and control. Scores of Israeli intelligence officers are also operating along Syria’s border, though they are keeping a low profile.”

In view of the complicated nature of the terrorist attack, one cannot easily rule out the possibility of the CIA-Mossad joint operations.

A Wikileaks cable dated May 2, 2007 details how Mossad is contributing covert assistance to Saudi intelligence.

MOSSAD is using Nicosia, Cyprus as a primary transit hub into Riyadh, to assist the Saudi intelligence services with intelligence collection and advice on Iran. Sources advised the Saudis are playing both sides of the fence — with the jihadists and the Israelis — for fear that the US does not have a handle on either. Several enterprising MOSSAD officers, both past and present, are making a bundle selling the Saudis everything from security equipment, intelligence and consultation.

As a main game player in Syria crisis, the regime of Riyadh is reportedly exerting pressure on Jordan to create a buffer zone for the armed gangs and groups fighting to overthrow the anti-Israeli government of President Bashar Assad. According to a report in the al-Quds al-Arabi daily, the Saudi monarchy is persuading Amman to join the anti-Syria war by cutting off its financial aid to the country. The Saudi spymaster Bandar Bin Sultan is tasked with forcing Jordanian kingdom to agree to host the Free Syrian Army on its soil in return for the aid. In line with this development, Bandar bin Sultan has secretly met with top Jordanian security and military officials along with Saudi Crown Prince Salman Abdul Aziz over the issue.

Saudi Arabia has long been working on a plan to overthrow the regime in Syria and sabotage the Islamic Republic through Bandar bin Sultan who served as the Saudi ambassador to the US from 1983 to 2005. In 2006, Bandar visited Washington a couple of times and discussed the Bush administration’s plan for a new strategy in the Middle East with former Vice president Dick Cheney and Bush’s Deputy National Security Advisor for Global Democracy Strategy Elliott Abrams.

The two neocons together with the prince had wrought out a fiendishly meticulous plan to bring about changes to the satisfaction of the US government and the Saudi kingdom. Part of their grand scheme was to bring about regime changes in Syria and Iran and impose a rotten American version of democracy in the two countries. For his part, Bandar had given them assurances that the Saudi monarchy would wholeheartedly favor this plot. To this end, the Saudi Kingdom has since then spent a deluge of dollars on carrying out covert operations in Iran and Syria with the assistance of CIA (See The King’s Messenger: Prince Bandar bin Sultan and America’s Tangled Relationship With Saudi Arabia by David B. Ottaway and David B Ottaway, p. 257).

With the flourish of Arab Spring in North Africa and the Middle East, Saudi Arabia found quite a good excuse to foment unrest in Syria with the help of the al-Qaeda elements who were readily at its disposal, innocuously attribute it to another popular uprising in the region and pave the ground for a regime change in Syria. Bandar bin Sultan, who is the secret architect of this crisis, reappeared in his new capacity as the Saudi superspy to accomplish this long-entertained plot. In this unholy cause they started championing, they saw fit to factor in other intelligence agencies such as Mossad and CIA in order to make sure their modus operandi would raise no suspicious whatsoever.

As time passes and the situation in Syria unravels, the satanic role of Prince Bandar bin Sultan in stoking up chaos in the crisis-ravaged country under the aegis of the Saudi monarchy becomes more crystallized and the thickening plot to overthrow the Syrian regime under the banner of a popular uprising starts to surface.

I find this case interesting because it's a kind of geopolitical whodoneit along the lines of the board game Clue. Who killed Mr. Boddy? Was it Miss Scarlett, Colonel Mustard, or Professor Plum? Similarly, who killed Bandar? Was it Syria or Iran? Was it CIA/Mossad? Was it the Saudis themselves?

I should add that we don't know that he is dead. Indeed there is a rather pasty picture of him printed in the Saudi Gazette today as an attendee at the Islamic Solidarity Conference. We do know that there was an attempt on his life, and that his deputy was killed in a separate explosion -- cause enough for worry among those responsible for Saudi security. There hasn't been a statement from the head of Saudi security Bandar bin Sultan since July 23 if I have my facts right.

Many facets here, innumerable tentacles, loads of clues. Many, many interests are tied up in a knot in this story, and that's what has caused the mainstream lid to placed on reporting of these events. At any rate, here's an article on this whodoneit that's a little long but worth reading. Go to the originating site for loads of interesting links.

kingpin taken out - updated UPDATES at the bottom.

^^^^^^^

Voltaire Network reports that newly appointed head of Saudi intelligence Bandar Bush has been eliminated by Syria in retaliation for the July 18 attack that took out several Syrian generals. http://www.voltairenet.org/Syria-eliminates- Bandar-bin-Sultan "Though not yet announced by the Saudi authorities, the death of Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has been confirmed to Voltaire Network unofficially.".... "His death constitutes a serious blow to the whole system of Western covert action in the Muslim world. It took Syria only eight days to mount this spectacular reprisal operation." A HUGE blow delivered by Syria. Wow. Stunning news. We wonder how Team NATO will spin it.

UPDATE: For some context...

This reportedly occurred July 26. Still no announcement. Must be a HUGE embarrassment and disappointment, given the gloating over his appointment.

7/12/12: Prince Bandar bin Sultan (Bandar Bush) named new Saudi intelligence chief

http://defenceforumindia.com/forum/west-asia-africa/39327-prince-bandar-bin- sultan-bandar-bush-named-new-saudi-intelligence-chief.html

This could be a sign of things to come in Syria given the fact that he was instrumental in running the anti-Soviet Afghan war in the 80s. He is also very aggressive and a hawk in the Saudi establishment but also very close the US establishment.

The previous person Muqrin had a softer approach on most issues.

...For Saudis and Westerners who remember Prince Bandar as a driving force rallying international support and procuring weapons for Muslim fighters seeking to push Soviet forces from Afghanistan in the 1980s, the appointment was a sign that the Saudis might play a more influential role as uprisings that may remake the Arab world, especially in Syria. "In these very hectic moments for Saudi foreign policy…we need Bandar bin Sultan," said Abdullah al-Shammri, a political analyst. "He's a volcano, and we need a volcano at this moment." Mr. al-Shammri cited what he called Prince Bandar's "special relationship" with American officials. He also mentioned parallels between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia working together in the 1980s against the Soviets in Afghanistan, and current circumstances in Syria, where the U.S., Saudi Arabia and others are trying to overcome Russian objections to tougher action against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime.

UPDATED 7/31/12: Still waiting for announcements.... clock is ticking....

Appointment announced 7/19/20:

http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/politics/2012/07/bandar-bin-sultanhead-of-saudi- i.html

"In an unexpected royal move, an order was issued by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia yesterday [July 19] removing Prince Muqrin Bin-Abd-al-Aziz from his post as head of the General Intelligence Directorate (GID) and appointing Prince Bandar Bin-Sultan as his successor."

This link found at Penny's is important for establishing the timeline:

Sunday 22 July 2012 12:52

"Blast hits Saudi intelligence building, killing deputy spy chief Islam Times - A blast has hit the builing of Saudi intelligence service in Riyadh, killing deputy of the newly-appointed intelligence chief Prince Bandar bin Sultan, according to reports. The explosion took place on Sunday when Bin Sultan’s deputy was entering the building, Yemen's al-Fajr Press quoted eyewitnesses as saying.

Saudi media have so far refrained from showing any reaction to the blast."

So we have a hit on the Syrians on 7/18, killing multiple generals, the next day Bandar's surprise appointment, and three days later a successful hit on him in front of the Saudi intelligence building. Bandar dies a few days later, 7/26. STILL NO OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT, 7/31.

Let's be clear. On 7/20/12, The Jewish Week has an article titled: Bandar Bush Rides Again. http://www.thejewishweek.com/blogs/political-insider/bandar-bush-rides-again

"His Washington connections – including with Jewish members of Congress -- and experience suggest his surprise appointment was intended to strengthen US-Saudi relations following disagreements over responses to last year's Arab uprisings. A former jet fighter pilot with a preference for Cuban cigars, the Dallas Cowboys and the good life, Bandar, 63, is considered the regime's leading hawk and a strong supporter of the Syrian rebels trying to overthrow Bashar Assad. He is said to favor arming the rebels, which Saudi Arabia and Qatar are doing already. David Ottaway, his biographer and a senior scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, said Bandar is "just the right person for the right time in Saudi.""

Does The Jewish Week sound upset that Bandar is Riding Again? No. This is The Jewish Week quietly rubbing its hands together in anticipation of the rebels tearing Syria apart.

Thoughts, instincts on this: Certainly Bandar would have many enemies, many people who would like to see him dead. However, which ones would be able to deliver? Who has that kind of intelligence capability?

No announcement in the controlled media. Who controls the media? This indicates that they are still figuring out how to spin this. Because if it was pre-planned and delivered by the people who control the media, they would have had their story ready to go from Day One. Instead no story, Day Nine....? Houston we have a problem. How are they going to get in front of this narrative now, all these days later? They're not. It's all over the internets already. They have a big problem. Not only did they get a nasty surprise that they did not anticipate, from a corner they did not expect, but they don't know how to spin the news of it. That is our take on it. Of course, we could be wrong.

Also interesting that some people, in the intelligence world, don't trust Israel. And maybe they would like to see Israel's plans for world domination thwarted? CIA calls Israel main US regional spy threat, 7/30/12 http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2012/07/30/18718602.php

UPDATED 8/1/12

Aangirfan has several posts on this situation, Mossad and Bandar being the latest. The debkafile article posits: (http://www.debka.com/article/22225/Saudi- silence-on-intelligence-chief-Bandar%E2%80%99s-fate-denotes-panic)

1) Saudis are panicked that they have been infiltrated, and that's why they haven't made an announcement yet. They are trying to find the hole and the mole. (We agree.)
2) Unnamed sources to Df doubt that Syrian intelligence has the capability to infiltrate Saudi Arabia and conduct this hit. (We don't know about that. We suppose at the very least Syrian intelligence has allies such as Russia that would have the capability. Also Iran. Bandar was instrumental in the first Afghan war back in the 80s that Russia got sucked into for many years. He would certainly have made many enemies over the years, from many places.)
3) Df concludes it must be Iran. (Imagine our shock.)
4) Df says the hit happened Monday, 7/23. (We read about it Sunday, 7/22, see above.)
5) Df claims to be the "first world publication" to report the attack. (O RLY?)
6) Df posits that Iran hired al qaeda, as it has done before. (AQ, created and run by the CIA and Mossad? So Iran and CIA are on the same team? And CIA and Mossad are on the same team, except for the part where the CIA doesn't trust Israel because of all the spying -- see link above...? So actually, it's impossible to know. There could be double and triple crosses going on here, especially since you never know who might be a crypto-Jew.)

Mostaque Ali: More Crypto-Jews in the Muslim World? 4/23/08

Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran...?

All we know is that Saudi Arabia is saying nothing, and the controlled media (and you know who controls it) is saying nothing. Why is that? Because.... they respect Saudi Arabia and the news is unconfirmed? Well, tell us since when have journalists been so careful? Since when has respect and confirmation been important? All who pay attention know that they repeat lie after lie, they photo shop, they use old photos and say they are new, they build sets and broadcast fake battles, they do ALL MANNER of deception; but they are not talking about this. Interesting.

UPDATE 8/1/12: Anonymous in Aan's comment section has another theory, very well- reasoned:

Anonymous said... Yes, it would appear Saudi Arabia intelligence has been infiltrated...

Or, as a result of Bandar attempting a coup to put his dying father on the throne, likely, so Bandar, himself, could assume the throne upon his father's death (which he did shortly die), others in the Saudi ruling clique took great offense.

Bandar dropped from public sight and was either banished from Saudi Arabia or was internally confined.

Imagine how others in the Saudi leadership viewed the attempted coup and then their horror when Bandar was not just brought back to public prominence, but made intelligence chief?

Bandar was aggressive in being "Washington's boy" and inserting itself in "revolution", at Washington's urging. Not all of Saudi Arabia's ruling clique is one board for this position (encouraging popular protest must make a number of Saudi's ruling clique nervous considering their own citizens' protests and risk for overthrowing the monarchy).

Look to score settling and removing a potential rival who had already attempted a coup and taken Saudi Arabia from being somewhat independent (or at least allowed factions in the ruling clique to think they had freedom of action) to a complete vassal of the United States.

What better cover to assassinate Bandar and have it blamed on Syria or Iran.

Some claim with some evidence that the Saudi monarchy is cryto-jewish, that would explain cooperation with the Israeli government, but might other Saudis within the ruling clique be nervous having Israeli government assets working on Saudi soil?

Apparently, Bandar had a working relationship with Israel's government and intelligence services, again, might that upset certain factions in Saudi Arabia's ruling clique?

Might some in the Saudi ruling clique think Bandar had made Saudi Arabia a "lap dog" for Israel's foreign policy to destabilize the Middle East and deeply resented that "lap dog" status?

Silence from the Saudi government can mean many things, but it could mean that there is fear of dramatic internal divisions within the Saudi ruling clique coming out into the Saudi public's consciousness, which could open a pandora's box threatening the whole regime.

In conclusion: Who had the best access to Bandar and would know his schedule?

Answer: Others within the Saudi ruling clique. Additional reading, links found via There Are No Sunglasses:

Syrian Intelligence War: A Tale of Two Security Headquarters "There is much more to the conflict in Syria than meets the eye. Syria is currently the scene of a cold war between the US, NATO, Israel, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on one side and Russia, China, Iran, and the Resistance Bloc on the other hand. Amidst the fighting between the Syrian government and anti-government forces, an intense intelligence war has also been taking place."

HERE is the Yinon Plan. Note that it has been around for about 30 years.

http://twelfthbough.blogspot.com/2011/10/mlks-nightmare.html

This is an important document. You should read it.

The plan operates on two essential premises. To survive, Israel must 1) become an imperial regional power, and 2) must effect the division of the whole area into small states by the dissolution of all existing Arab states. Small here will depend on the ethnic or sectarian composition of each state. Consequently, the Zionist hope is that sectarian-based states become Israel's satellites and, ironically, its source of moral legitimation....What they want and what they are planning for is not an Arab world, but a world of Arab fragments that is ready to succumb to Israeli hegemony.

You can also read more about the Yinon Plan and fission field warfare in this post written by James at Winter Patriot Community.

As described in the Yinon Plan, the goal is to balkanize Syria and the Middle East, including Turkey, which is stupidly laying its neck on the block to be balkanized, too. Putting as many countries into perpetual war -- internal war, external war, any kind will do -- as possible, FREEING UP Israel to do whatever the hell it wants.

This area today is "ground zero" in the invasion of Syria by the mercenaries of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United States. General Ivanov was murdered to prevent him reporting on what he saw there. The build- up to invasion was taking place there, even in 2010, so was the great spy war.]
