Ron Paul Campaign Condemns Romney Critics-
Paul's campaign chief calls 'Dump Romney' document "disgusting and highly inappropriate."

Google Inc. also Removes anti-Romney Manifesto

LibertyFight.com
August 12, 2012

A group called "Jews and Christians Together" (http://www.jewsandchristianstogether.org/) has released a manifesto entitled "DUMP ROMNEY: Why Tampa's Republican Delegates must Dump Romney to Defeat Obama." The website suggests that visitors "Read the 9-page memo that Tampa's GOP delegates are receiving" but upon clicking the Google document link, viewers are presented with a message stating "We're sorry. You can't access this item because it is in violation of our Terms of Service." The group also offers an Amazon link to "DUMP ROMinee", the full 348 page Kindle edition of the book for $9.95. Authors are listed as Sara and David Bethel.

The book begins as "A Manifesto to: our fellow tampa-bound delegates and friends; fellow conservatives, libertarians, neo-cons, soldiers, vets and tea Partiers; and to all of our fellow Manhattan Declaration signatories/affirmers..."

With a mailing address of Vista CA, their website states "Jews and Christians Together is a 501 C4 not-for-profit corporation. Your contributions will be used to help reach the Republican Delegates to the Tampa Convention, pro-life / pro-family conservatives, Tea Partiers, Libertarians, neo-cons, soldiers, and vets."

The manifesto makes reference to Ron Paul twice, despite the fact that Ron Paul's Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton called the memo "disgusting and highly inappropriate." The document states

"What if Santorum, Gingrich, Ron Paul or other liberty lovers were suddenly to recognize, as a function of all the disturbing facts cited herein, what a deep betrayal, what profound negligence it would be to endorse Romney on stage in Tampa?"

..."We'll grasp how and perhaps why Romney's statism so closely mirrors Obama's.33 [Footnote 33: See, e.g., this offering from Ron Paul's camp: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWDJEc92d38]

Buzzfeed reported

"The memo doesn't specify who Romney should be replaced with. A core of Ron Paul supporters had been the only organized Republican opposition to accepting Romney as the nominee, but Paul campaign manager Jesse Benton told BuzzFeed that the memo had nothing to do with them, calling it "disgusting and highly inappropriate."

Benton, Ron Paul's son-in law who is paid quite a hefty salary from Paul's campaign coffers, receives quite a bit of criticism from Ron Paul's grassroots supporters. Based on his actions over the course of the campaign, he has been accused by some of having been a traitor and "in-it-to-lose" from the start.

After Senator Rand Paul endorsed Romney, Ron Paul said on two separate television programs that there is "no way" he would endorse Romney. However, the elder Paul later changed his tune and in mid July said he has "not decided" if he would endorse the former governor. Rand Paul later claimed, with no substannciation or follow up on arrests or charges filed, that his life had been threatend numerous times because of his endorsement of Romney.

Earlier this year, Ron Paul's campaign unsuccessfully sued a youtube user, making the preposterous claim that because the user had made a video critical of John Huntsman's Mormonism and added "Vote for Ron Paul" at the end of the video, that the user was guilty of libel and defamation. Huntsman, whose donors included the Rothschild family, is Mitt Romney's cousin and identical in his stance to Romney on gun control, climate change propaganda and government mandated health insurance. The video which spurred the lawsuit, titled Jon Huntsman's Values, is still online with 337,579 views, 206 likes and 5,294 dislikes, and 6,375 comments. The Paul campaign in their lawsuit (available here) claimed that the youtube user was engaged in "unlawful use in commerce of an underhanded and deceptive advertisement", adding that the username NHLiberty4Paul "further implies that plaintiff created endorsed or is affiliated in some way with the video and its contents." A judge tossed out the case immediately. [See TechDirt article 'Sorry Ron Paul, You Don't Get To Abuse Trademark Law To Unveil Anonymous Internet Users'] Despite claiming to stand for free speech, I guess if one does not like Mormon cultists, they are forbidden to publicly support Paul for president, according to the Paul campaign. It's no surprise that the Paul camp defends mormons, since they and their employees have also defended freemasonry, Paul himself alleged to have Masonic ties including his wife and daughters.

No word on if Benton and company will try to sue the allegedly ""disgusting and highly inappropriate" "Jews and Christians Together" group for posting a youtube video link on their manifesto and attributing it to "Ron Paul's camp" in footnote #33, when in reality the video makes no mention of Ron Paul whatsoever. The video, titled Romney Obama the Same? is nevertheless an excellent compilation illustrating how Romney and Obama are identical on the issues.

The website jewsandchristianstogether.org has included a summary of their Dump Romney document on their front page. The document links to many videos, including a youtube titled "What Mormons Really Believe". Included are some notable excerpts from the Dump Romney manifesto:

"What if Santorum, Gingrich, Ron Paul or other liberty lovers were suddenly to recognize, as a function of all the disturbing facts cited herein, what a deep betrayal, what profound negligence it would be to endorse Romney on stage in Tampa?

....Who seriously harbors any doubt that Romney's exotic beliefs - e.g., that the Garden of Eden was in Missouri, that Jesus is Satan's brother, that G_d the Father physically and sexually penetrated the Virgin Mary, that each of us can become gods - will get spun this fall as those of a religious whack-o?

....Perhaps you're also so fear-filled about the White House 'devil you know' that you're hot to jump into bed with the 'devil you don't'? Well, if you're really want to settle, like some naive child bride or hopeless Salt Lake spinster, for the embrace of a 'lesser evil' sure-loser, then we'd suggest you skip everything that follows.

If you're a conservative defeatist, cowed Christian, self-loathing Jew, religious syncretist, Country Club multiculturalist or access-hungry accomodationist who's short on vision and attention span- you might as well just quit this text now. Go to Orlando, go entertain yourself, go do something else- because this document is written for others. But, if you're a thoughtful Tampa delegate or thought leader, you already know that the original purpose of major party conventions was to nominate the best possible candidate, even if he or she requires drafting.

..We'll see how the coital libertinism of a 19th Century sect (and historic sex cult) could enable Romney to rationalize a career's worth of cover for our ugly national habits of child sacrifice: abortion and pedophilia.35 And, we'll alsohear how Mitt's marriage doubletalk echoes, so eerily, lies told two centuries ago by his Holy Prophet Joseph Smith, the frisky, philandering founder of his faith. Brainwashing may be too strong a word,36 and yet:

Hostile to hetero-monogamy, it's as if Mitt's the Manchurian Candidate from GOProud, the Log Cabiner from some rustic den of sodomy in the Utah backwoods: Romney has been grinding hard to deliver on state-sanctioned SSM/SSS (Same-Sex Marriage/Same-Sex-as-Sandusky37) in domestic, military or foreign policy from way back when Obama was all talk.

Who seriously imagines that Romney's creeper roots - naked temple rites38 and all - won't soon be subject to blistering heat? In his embrace of an enduring Mormon subculture of pedophilia, polyamory and homoeroticism- plus a childlike faith in the left's demonstrably anti-scientific premise that some people are born gay39 (like being born black-skinned, blue-eyed or female) - Romney has even ripped the Boy Scouts for their prudent good sense on homo/bisex Scoutmasters. 40

Such clueless (or clever) Mitt man-dates correlate with myriad others- for example, on RomneyCare and CO2 regulation - each one, in its own special authoritarian way, raping liberty. To bury this lead, to blind ourselves to the Elephant in the Temple, to pretend that this would-be emperor is actually clothed - or rather, unclothed by mystical Mormon undergarments - is a Republican death wish: Watch this.41

But, what if there's really a way out? What if faithful Jews, Christians and Tampa's totally-unbound GOP delegates were to grasp, before it's too late, that we have the right (and no other responsible choice but) to dump Romney?

If you're a thoughtful, responsible and open-minded Tampa delegate; if you're a dutiful -small-r- republican whose time is tight - yet your mind's still your own - here's the good news: You've already read everything you really need to know! (Especially if you click some of the links so far). In sum, here are the essentials:

· ROMNEY IS ALREADY LOSING THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE BADLY. 42

· WHEN THE MEDIA EXPLAINS ROMNEY'S WEIRD POLYTHEISTIC BELIEFS (AND CORRESPONDING PUBLIC RECORD) TO THE SWING STATES, IT'S LIKELY TO SEAL THE GOP'S DEFEAT.43

· NO TAMPA DELEGATE IS 'BOUND' TO ROMNEY; EVERY DELEGATE HAS THE RIGHT TO CONSCIENTIOUSLY ABSTAIN FROM HIM ON THE CRUCIAL FIRST BALLOT.44 [MUCH MORE AT LINK]

Obama campaign condemns Bill Maher’s Romney ‘cult’ remark

.By Olivier Knox, Yahoo! News | The Ticket – Mon, May 21, 2012...

President Barack Obama's reelection campaign on Monday repudiated comic Bill Maher's description of Mitt Romney's religion, Mormonism, as a "cult."

Maher, a major donor to a super PAC backing Obama, had tweeted "Why even listen to #MittRomney on foreign policy? His entire FP experience is 2 yrs trying to brow-beat Frenchmen into joining his cult." The former Massachusetts governor spent two years in France as a missionary.

"Attacking a candidate's religion is out of bounds, and our campaign will not engage in it, and we don't think others should either," campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith told Yahoo News by email.

A group called "Jews and Christians Together"

If only those Christians knew the people they were together with make the Mormons look good they wouldn't be together with them.

Jesse Benton is disgusting and highly inappropriate to be a campaign manager of someone like Ron Paul. I have heard there is a federal investigation ongoing right now looking into Jesse Benton. I have also heard Ron Paul is thinking of firing him, and doesn't listen to him in meetings anymore.

The Tampa delegates will dutifully cast their votes for Romney....at least that's what the final tally will reflect.

Tampa Bay Online reported, in part:

Like everything at RNC, who speaks is a matter of politics http://www2.tbo.com/news/politics/2012/aug/12/like-everything-at-rnc-who-speaks- is-a-matter-of-p-ar-461801/

One of Romney's biggest problems with speakers could be how to handle the Ron Paul movement.

Paul's political philosophy differs sharply from mainstream Republicanism in key areas including national defense, which Romney won't want to advertise. Paul has a small but dedicated core of followers known for taking on the GOP establishment and who have managed to take over several state delegations.

Romney's greatest fear could be a movement to nominate Paul from the floor of the convention, which could happen if five state delegations line up behind him.

But Paul, who's about to turn 77 and is retiring after 22 years in Congress and three presidential races, may be seeking to hand off leadership of his movement to his son, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.

The RNC's announcement that Rand Paul will speak in Tampa, but with no mention of Ron Paul, hints at a deal between the Paul and Romney forces that neither side will confirm — a speaking slot for Rand Paul in return for convention peace.

Ron Paul has announced he'll seek a positive, non-confrontational stance from his campaign during the convention, and even will snub some gatherings planned by supporters because his campaign isn't controlling them.

Paul campaign chairman Jesse Benton wouldn't discuss negotiations between the two camps or the timing of Paul's speech, but said, "We have been told that it will be a very prominent time."

Benton said by email that Ron Paul is not expected to speak, but that Romney representatives "are working with us (on) other ways to recognize and honor Ron at the convention.

"Dr. Paul will not seek to be nominated from the floor," he added.

It's doubtful that Ron Paul is even speaking to Jessie Benton at this point, so he doesn't know much.

From my e-mail spam folder (today):

Dear Mike ,

The credentials fight you and I were expecting to have in Tampa has already started.

The Committee on Contests recently issued a ruling on the establishment’s challenge to Ron Paul’s delegates and alternates who were duly elected in Maine, and on our challenges to the outright cheating that occurred in Louisiana, Massachusetts, and Oregon (alternates only).

Despite Ron Paul’s supporters being so clearly in the right in these four states, the establishment is so far refusing to rule fairly and seat our duly elected delegates and/or alternates.

Here’s a brief summary of the bogus challenge made by the GOP establishment against us in Maine, as well as our challenges to the cheating that occurred elsewhere:

*** In Maine, where Ron Paul supporters held a clear majority at the State Convention, the establishment is attempting to unseat the state’s duly elected delegates and alternates – acting like sore losers in the process. The challenge to our delegates in Maine is so bogus that Republican Governor Paul LePage – who is one of the few delegates not being challenged by the establishment – has declared he will not attend the Republican National Convention unless Ron Paul's delegates and alternates who were duly elected are seated;

*** In Louisiana, establishment “big wigs” used threats, intimidation, and force – literally smashing the bones of one gentleman – to shut out Ron Paul supporters who had a clear majority at the State Convention;

*** In Oregon, the State Chairman blatantly ignored the votes of the Convention, taking it upon himself to replace the duly elected alternate delegates with an “appointed” slate chocked-full of establishment cronies;

*** In Mitt Romney’s home state of Massachusetts, corrupt Party officials changed the rules after the game was over – kicking out Ron Paul’s duly elected delegates and alternates and replacing them with their hand-picked cronies.

As you can see, the Old Guard establishment doesn’t care about cheating, lying, abuse of process, and high-handedness in our Party.

All they seem to care about is maintaining their iron grip over the Republican Party.

But Ron Paul’s number-one goal for the RNC is making sure his delegates and alternates who deserve to be seated in Tampa are credentialed.

So if the establishment wants a fight in Tampa, rest assured we’re going to give them one.

Currently, our campaign lawyers and staff are furiously working to analyze and craft the appropriate response to the Committee’s rulings, and we’ll be sure to keep you informed as we move forward in the process.

And believe me, we will not sit idly by and watch the establishment run roughshod over Ron Paul’s supporters who were illegally railroaded by the GOP.

We will stand up and fight for all of Ron Paul’s delegates and/or alternates in these four states – and we will not back down.

Of course, one would think the Romney campaign would want these conflicts resolved so they didn’t become major issues at the Convention.

But so far they’ve sat idly by on the sidelines.

Hopefully they’ll change their do-nothing approach once they realize we’re serious about going all-out to win these credentials battles.

And remember, nearly 90 major media outlets have already reserved a spot at our “We are the Future Rally.”

So if the GOP goes through with these bogus challenges, they won’t be able to hide behind their iron curtain. They will be exposed by the press.

The good news is, the Committee on Contests’ ruling is not the final word in this fight.

The battle will be decided by the Credentials Committee in Tampa – where we are very organized and prepared to take action.

As the battle rages on over the next two weeks, I’ll be sure to keep you updated on our progress and any new developments that occur along the way.

I hope to see you in Tampa.

For Liberty,

John Tate Campaign Manager

I've seen this first hand in other parties and knew beyond a shadow it would happen for the Paul supporters.

Here when I asked why my friend who should have been seated according to the rules I was told it was because one of the officials felt he had stabbed him in the back. Their official excuse for not seating him was that even though he had won his parties nomination in an uncontested race he had not been officially certified yet by the Secretary of State. They actually actually violated their own rules and precedent by moving the convention so purposely use such rules to keep opposition out.

Does anyone honestly believe that the global elites whose wealth and power depend on manipulation of the global chess board would leave something like the Presidency up to chance?

Thanks for the ping. I got one today too (same one I guess) but I just deleted it because I know, barring a miracle, Ron is not going to get the nomination. The people will, as usual, have the grand "choice" between Tweedledumb and Tweedledubmer. With about one exception that I can think of it has always been thus in my lifetime. And the one exception was assassinated.

Notice that the MSM is still trying to sell the big lie, obliquely, that Ron Paul supporters are a small bunch of weirdo cranks - rather people who have seen through the (s)electoral charade.

I don't think that a President Romney will revive NASA, he sure as hell won't reign-in the TSA or curb their appetite for thuggishness in our airport terminals, and the Patriot Act will gain momentum and continue to be a living exception to our Constitution. Romney can go to hell, he'll just stab us in the back from a different direction that Obama hasn't covered.

No one cares about Romney's religion really, even though it is screwed up, but they do care about gay marriage.

Last time I checked, there were no legal restrictions on homosexuals marrying. None of them want to be married, they want legal, social, and religious sanction for their relationship. I believe in same legal rights for everyone, so I think if a heterosexual couple may form civil union, homosexuals should be extended same franchise. I reserve the right to red flag dependent child tax credits for licensed homosexual partnerships.

By insisting on referring to the legal right to free association and contracts and all that as "marriage", the cultural marxist lobby has become a self-destructive parody. They've achieved legal equality and couldn't let it alone. And now, by turning society into a giant re-education camp, I'm certain they will soon reap their just due.

However, the elder Paul later changed his tune and in mid July said he has "not decided" if he would endorse the former governor.

Actually, he didn't say he had not decided if he'd endorse Romney. He said he had not decided if he'd vote for him. It may be splitting hairs in some respects, but voting for someone and endorsing someone are not the same thing, so the article is not accurate on Ron Paul on this point.

It's puzzling to me that RP would even say what he did. I suspect there may have been some negotiations going on that weren't public knowledge, which if true, wouldn't make me happy either. But I think RP has since stated he would not be voting for Romney at all.

as the author of 'texas straight talk', paul should talk straight and acknowledge that only a loon would ever for one momnent dare consider voting for that POS romney. he is being disingenuous and losing credibility when he says such things. when he says he has not decided if he will vote for romney, he's implying that there is some decision that he has to make.

Would YOU have to ponder it over before you decide to vote for the likes of romney? of course not. that is beyond retarded. Paul's audience expects more from him.

I would love to know what factors remained for him to make that decision. It is certainly out of character for him to say such a thing. When has he **EVER** been uncertain about any policy/vote decision throughout his time in Congress? Probably only about things (bills and such) he hasn't read first.

That's what makes me think that some kind of negotiations were underway at the time when he made the statement, such that publicly saying he wouldn't/couldn't vote for him would have tripped those negotiations up. Call it politics, as that's what it would be. It would be great if at some point he can come clean about why he said that. I hope he will, and hope moreso that his explanation is satisfactory.

Given his history, who he is and everything he's stood for, I think it's more likely than not he did have a good reason for saying what he did. People of otherwise good stature like that don't just turn traitor at the flip of a dime.

The Tampa delegates will dutifully cast their votes for Romney....at least that's what the final tally will reflect.

Ron Paul said on two separate television programs that there is "no way" he would endorse Romney. However, the elder Paul later changed his tune and in mid July said he has "not decided" if he would endorse the former governor.

These are the linked references quoted above in chronological order.

Ron Paul on questions of whether he's ready or not to endorse Romney:

Is Ron Paul Ready to Endorse Romney? "No Way" - CNN June 19
At 0:38 www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjViqCR_fzM

"Your son, Senator Rand Paul, has endorsed Romney. I take it you're not yet ready yourself to endorse Romney, are you?" "No. Not ready." You're not ready." "No way."

Ron Paul 2012- Changing the Core Convictions of the GOP- Morning Joe - MSNBC June 20
At 0:45 www.youtube.com/watch? v=axOPWXLxmh0&feature=youtu.be

"So let's look at the state of the campaign. I want to ask you about Mitt Romney. You're not ready to endorse him, obviously." "No." "Ok. uh...Can I ask you a question about him?"

Next month on question of if he will vote for Romney; not an endorsement question:

Ron Paul: I ‘Have Not’ Decided If I’ll Vote for Romney - ABC article July 19
abcnews.go.com/blogs/poli...-have-not-decided-if-ill-vote-for-romney/

Article excerpts:

Ron Paul, who is still technically running for the Republican nomination, says he has not decided whether or not he’ll vote for Mitt Romney.

“I have not made a decision,” Paul told Fox Business Network’s Liz Claman and David Asman.

It’s almost gospel that Republican candidates, despite their rivalry, must acknowledge that they would support any Republican presidential candidate over the Democratic incumbent. But given Paul’s nonconformity to the party mold, he hasn’t always been afforded that courtesy: In December, Newt Gingrich said he would not vote for Paul if the Texas congressman became the GOP’s nominee.

YouTube video of FOX interview referenced in the ABC article above:

Ron Paul I Have Not Made A Decision - FOX July 20
At 5:37 www.youtube.com/watch?v=VULJX65CaDI

"Will...Will you vote for...Will you vote for Mitt Romney?" "I'm not...I've not made a decision."

Like Pinguinite said, endorsing and voting are different. Ron Paul has basically said before that he was waiting to see if there might be a shift towards his positions before he could be supportive, so I'm not seeing a problem with him still being open to the possibility of that happening.

Edited to correct article link.
