The critical problem we face today is the same one all mankind has faced: the State, those monopolists who claim the right to break the laws that they make and enforce. How to restrain them is the critical problem of all sound political thinking. Making matters worse, this gang now has a monopoly on the money and the ability to print it, and they are abusing that power at our expense. How does voting change the situation? Neither of the candidates for president wants to do anything about the problem. On the contrary, they want to make it worse. This is for a reason. The State owns the “democratic process” as surely as it owns the Departments of Labor and Defense and uses it in ways that benefit the State and no one else. On the other hand, we do have the freedom not to vote. No one has yet drafted us into the voting booth. I suggest that we exercise this right not to participate. It is one of the few rights we have left. Nonparticipation sends a message that we no longer believe in the racket they have cooked up for us, and we want no part of it. You might say that this is ineffective. But what effect does voting have? It gives them what they need most: a mandate. Nonparticipation helps deny that to them. It makes them, just on the margin, a bit more fearful that they are ruling us without our consent. This is all to the good. The government should fear the people. Not voting is a good beginning toward instilling that fear. This year especially there is no lesser of two evils. There is socialism or fascism. The true American spirit should guide every voter to have no part of either.

Excellent. Openly exercising ones right to NOT VOTE is proof to ones self and others that you are no longer brainwashed nor programmed.
Not voting is very slightly cheaper.

Rockwell has it right, simple, plain, no explanation nor translation needed. Take the chain from our necks that are tied to the voting booth.
very true that the state breaks their own laws & enforce them on everyone else. thats why when fighting traffic tickets for example. you invoke THEIR OWN LAWS & they lose every time. Its somehwat difficult for most people to grasp this concept.

The premise of this argument seems to be that they either have a streak of dignity about them or that they'd even notice if fewer people voted. I rather think that they don't care one whit about who votes and who doesn't, or how many people do each, as long as the outcome plays in their favor, which it easily does.
There are a lot of bad laws, but there aren't a lot of bad traffic laws. With 40,000 people dying on US highways every year, enforcing traffic laws seems like a sensible way for the state to raise money. The fines are usually too steep though.
Each does as their mind dictates. I prefer to have no part of this charade, evil is evil. Looking into background of Mrs. Ryan, one finds she was never one of the masses, her Mother having left her untold millions. Joe the paycheck plumber will never be president.
I agree with you 100%. Unless a markedly significant % of eligible voters sat on their hands ( to the tune of 90% minimum) in the federal elections, there's no fear by the politicians that they have lost the People's Consent.
Gridlock is the only and best hope for The People. ObamaAlinsky/SenatorPlaigarism will retain the WH, that much seems obvious. So I hope the GOP keeps the House and hopefully even wins a thin Senate majority. If the TelepromterInChief wins the WH and the House and the Senate, we the People - who are gainfully employed/have material assets/are not members of kooky special interest groups/are not members of favored minority groups - will be totally fudged.
