tom... Had a stroke few days ago, things still not normal. All I know is this. This country is going down within ten years, whether from fiscal collapse, or from war or both. What I see these days reminds me like a rerun of the late 1930s. Day after day of war talk and impending doom. We of the masses had no voice then just as we have none now. All of us knew it would be us to do the bleeding and dying.

If you're writing this, hopefully you're going to be ok. Hang in there, Cyni. We have some interesting days ahead of us.
All I know is this. Been there, still doing that. Can't feel my right side of ....shit. It's numb. The wife knows it's that time. She don't want to deal with it. I don't wanna deal with it. Bu,,,, you know I gotta. Period. She tried some bullshit that just don't work. We been together too long. God I'm loving her,,,,but just can't, or, will not put her through what will happen in the next few years. It's me Tom. I like the whiskey, she likes our life. I admit it's me. I ain't gonna change. I love what this website has stood for. To me, it represents a breath of r4eality. I'm a freeborn man. That's how I'll die. It will hurt her, but that is how it is. Thank you all for your opinions, your steadfast values of freedom, and of course some of your inspirations. God bless you "Turtle" for your many moments of bringing a moment of joy/happiness/chuckles, to my life. May God bless you Christine for bringing me the troopers who have enriched my life through the years. Wish I could have shot targets, or whatever, with you all. I know the opportunity was there, but it sincerely was my fault for not reaching out. Once again, I thank every participant on this website for there contribution of there opinions, that has enriched my life. I know I don't have much time left, the numbness and swelling on the right side of my body reminds me of this daily. I have visited this website daily for....,,well damn it's been a while. I am confused as to who this is about. On one thread it said Cynicom had had a stroke and reading to the bottom of this one I can't tell who is ill. No matter who it is I hope things are not as bad as they seem right now and you have my best wishes. Could some of y'all help a brutha out and tell me who is sick/what's going on?

As I understand it, Cynicom stroked out, and I'm feeling the same boat. I haven't ask for any sympathy, I just wanted to use the moment to share what is happening to me. Sorry Cynicom if I tramped on your toes, but, as I think your quite aware, shit does happen,,,,to all of us at some time. And yeah Tom, things are bad. But that's not the point for me. It was just reading Cyni's opening and feeling a lot of,,,,things. Sorry to confuse you James. IMHOP you are one of the posters here I take seriously. Thank you for sharing throughout the years. My apologies, sincerely, for not sharing my opine with you more. It's just another thing I have failed to do in my life. You know, one tends to regret the things not done so much more. It's true.

Thank you very much for those kind words. I do appreciate them. As far as apologies I don't reckon you owe me any and I have enjoyed your posts. Sure do hate to read the bad news about you and Cyni. I know what you mean about regrets. I have regretted some of the things I have done in my life but I probably regret more those things I haven't done and that my circumstances now don't allow me to do. You know, friend, at this stage in life when you know the end is, or may be, close, the important thing is not to have any regrets about your relationship with the Lord. Sheesh...I have no idea what to say. I sense a disturbance in the farce. Much gnashing will ensue.
All... Several days ago, I have no recall as to when, I found myself standing in the middle of the kitchen, trying to remember how to fix the wifes breakfast. Been doing the same routine now for five years, could not even start, total loss of memory. It is a difficult time to cope with, just total confusion. The brain will go forward but not backward. After all day stay in the ER, two doctors agreed to let me go home as I had no physical impairments and the brain was slowly returning to normal. Somewhat like rebooting ones computer. At my age, such is expected, and have been fortunate no impairment. Thank all of you for your kind words. P.S It is similar to reading a book, cover to cover but there is one page in there that is totally blank. Cyni...
