Some of these tips could help you achieve better health even before I am they'll the full anti ageing diet protocol. I have always said that white wheat flour is a killer and that the wheat is something that should be avoided generally, even the whole grain version. My rationale was that the majority of the population have at least some degree of sensitivity to gluten. Plus I have always been aware that like many plants, wheat contains biochemicals that are there to deter animals from eating it. In small quantities those biochemicals do not do us any harm. But when we eat large quantities, as many Americans do, those biochemicals do affect our health. In fact most people feel better in themselves when they stop eating foods that contain wheat. As part of my ongoing research, I came across another factoid about Wheat that I had been unaware of. It is about a protein called gliadin. That was not present in wheat before 1960. But that particular protein was introduced as a result of genetic research in the 60s and 70s in order to produce a version of wheat that would grow with a higher yield. As a result the wheat that we consume today comes from an 18 inch plant, a pygmy version of the original wheat. And it is that plant that contains the protein gliadin. Why should we care about that protein? Well, it turns out that gliadin is an opiate and binds into the opiate receptors in your brain. The effect on most people is to stimulate appetite. A study established that the average person that eat wheat with gliadin is stimulated to consume 440 more calories per day, 365 days per year. 440 extra calories a day can result in a considerable increase in obesity. So my tip today, in advance of my anti-ageing diet, is that if you are still consuming wheat in the form of bread, cakes, cookies and a host of processed foods that incorporate wheat flour as a filler, I think you should stop eating them. That single action may make a substantial difference to your weight and your health. I wish you good health. Ben Ong Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread
