We were able to see a practice session one afternoon in Vienna - the Royal Lipazzaners were just amazing, from the young geldings learning their first moves, to the guys practicing to tour the world - it was just fantastic.
If anyone gets the chance to see them here live, it's worth the ticket.
Austria and Switzerland are on my bucket-list, especially a visit to the Spanish Riding School in Vienna!! I saw the Lipazzaner's in Fort Worth back in 2002, but it just doesn't compare to seeing them in Vienna. They're amazing horses, just magnificent. I found it interesting that they don't do anything but run around the pasture just being horses for the first eight or nine years of their lives.
