If you have been reading my newsletters for some time then you will know that I have a very jaundiced view of the pharmaceutical corporations who seem perfectly willing as a matter of course to make tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of people sick for the sake of their profits. They have no apparent moral compunctions. So when I forecast the end of modern medicine, perhaps with more hope than expectation, you will not be very surprised. However it is when medical 'insiders' begin to break ranks and spill the beans, then you know something must be horribly wrong and that the whole drug-based system of healthcare is perhaps teetering towards collapse. Admittedly this is not going to happen overnight and these vast corporations still have enormous bankrolls and a large influence within government. But there are signs that things are not going too well for them. Many of their patents are running out, especially on some of their most profitable drugs. They are desperately trying to reposition drugs into new situations so that they can renew patents even if there is absolutely no medical justification for doing so. They are cutting corners and falsifying research in order to try and get the new hoped-for blockbusters to market Recently a leading doctor who risked professional suicide by suggesting that a $0.15 Vitamin B tablet is more effective for treating dementia than the blockbuster drug Aricept... We also heard the apocalyptic pronouncement from the World Health Organisation that antibiotics have been so over-used that they're now almost completely useless against 'super strains' of bacterial infection. This means that routine operations could become impossible to carry out, and minor cuts and grazes become potentially life-threatening. And now, another eminent medical professional is sticking his head in the firing line to expose the sleazy practices of Big Pharma... David Healy, Professor in Psychological Medicine at the Cardiff University School of Medicine, claims that pharmaceutical companies are under such enormous commercial pressure to come up with new blockbuster drugs that they are deliberately falsifying drug trials to make them seem more beneficial than they really are. Worse still, they are deliberately hiding deadly adverse side effects of new drugs by fiddling the figures or by simply refusing to publish the full results at all. And the regulators are just sitting on their hands doing nothing... None of that is especially new and I have been reporting on many cases of that but what is new is that a professor of conventional medicine is saying it. In short, the drugs that many people wish to rely on are actually too dangerous to use, and in any event are at best no better than a placebo for treating illness. So, where else can you turn to find effective alternatives? Who else can you trust to provide you with impartial, scientifically verified information about the remedies, cures and healing strategies that can keep you safe from illness? I get my information from independently produced research, not from research that is biased because it has been paid for by the pharmaceutical corporations. I do not believe that you should take toxic drugs over the long term that can relieve symptoms no matter how effective they may be doing so. And the reason for that is quite simply that eliminating symptoms is an excuse for not dealing with the underlying cause. And if you do not deal with the underlying cause there will inevitably come a point when the toxic drugs can no longer cover over the symptoms. Furthermore, every toxic drug produces its own problems in terms of its negative effect upon your body and the side-effects that it can generate. Why take toxic drugs, when a change of diet and lifestyle and taking natural supplements that do not cause any side effects will deal with your problems as effectively if not more effectively than the drugs? So modern medicine despite all its corruption and immorality and the damage that it does is still with us for the foreseeable future but it will have to change or otherwise end at some point. In the meantime you still have the power of choice over your own body. Consider whether your health would be better served by natural means.
