I'd never heard the Tina version.

One memorable NewYear's Eve in the mid-sixties was spent at Market Hall (Dallas) with the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, featuring the Ikettes, as the featured performers.

They did not disappoint.

TT's autobiography, I, Tina is a great read...factoid, when she finally divorced Ike, the only thing that she took from her marriage was the name Tina Turner.

I'm glad that wasn't the intro to a porn film. I shudder to imagine what it would have been like.

Women’s liberation is freedom from the authority of men. Men’s liberation is the freedom from responsibility to women.
