"If you ever come to China to teach , work or do business do not make the mistake that face is a coutesy to be extended to you. Face is only for Chinese people. You are just a foreign worker here that is not worthy of that courtesy. You are to be tolerated and nothing more. Perhaps some day the educators of this country such as those two teachers and my school's administration and The Committe of 17 will be more concerned with actually educating their people and bringing them into the 21st Century at long last rather than keeping The Usefull Idiots on Chairman Mao's Plantation. Considering that there is far more profit in keeping them on Chairman Mao's Plantation I doubt that that day will ever come."

As quoted above in part from your posted story, Paul, I can just say this:

That quote should inform every American who desires to teach or work in China that saving face is only for the Chinese government and does not apply to the individual that it should apply to. One American professor once us back in the '98 that China is not communist. When I disputed their claim otherwise, they decided to have me removed from their classroom. They did not like the fact that I challenged their propaganda. I later found out from a faculty member that the professor was a Leninist who made frequent trips to Russia. So perhaps, they were a card-carrying communist working "hot" on the campus.

BTW Paul, that was a great story. And I enjoyed it!

I'm glad you enjoyed the story. There are a bunch more posted here at Freedom4um. The HaNazee Chinese have absolutley zero sense of humor. They are a gold mine of comedic material for a writer, totally unintenionally on their parts. Stay tuned there will be much more coming in the weeks ahead.

Aren't most professors employed by American Universities Commies? The Halls Of Academe is a breeding ground for them. Communism works fine in The Land Of Theory but people that live in The Real World know that it's the fool's gold of political systems. Since professors have never lived in The Real World and prefer it that way it's really no surprise that they thrive in the university environment. The only thing I don't understand is why our government allows it or for that matter the parents of these misguided maleducated youths.

Modern China is actually a living breathing paradox. They are a Communist political system coupled with a very capitalist economic system. They're making it work for now but only because the Western countries let them. All that cheap labor blinds Western governments to the danger. Not to worry though their castle is built on sand. The tides are coming in soon , much sooner than they or anybody else thinks.

American professors live in their own little rosy world. There is a saying that applies to them. It goes something like this: Those who can't do just teach. What it means is that they can't function in the real world sense where they would actually have to get a real job and really "work" to produce results. So these people get jobs as teachers. They call this a "career". Actually this kind of profession is called working welfare because it is the taxpayers who pay these teachers and professor's salaries, benefit packages, retirement pensions and permanent tenureships. Furthermore, these teachers join teacher's unions (another term for "teacher's mafia") to make their benefit package secure and complete and they're set for life. Then, these professors use their vested clothed authority to condemn and defame our American constitution and laws and then when a student challenges these teachers for unlawful and seditious acts, the student gets attacked by the school. The school will always protect one of their own especially one that is breaking the laws of the United States on sedition. By protecting the teachers I refer to these teachers being represented by lawyers all paid for by the taxpayers when they are sued. What needs to take place in American culture is what the Japanese do to criminals who commit heinous acts especially on seditious speech. Bill the the next of kin on the bullets used on the criminal.

All true. Believe me as a teacher that actually teaches these idiot children of the Chinese Nouveau Riche that is very difficult for me to say. Nobody likes to have to denigrate the members of their own profession but the truth is the truth. If it's any consolation to you it's worse in China than America.

The teaching profession would not be such a bad idea if government were out of it. The idea of teaching should be on a local level and with limited to no government as possible. And that also means no organized unions involved either. That's the way it should be. When you have State and Federalized money funneled into teachers salaries and programs, the teaching profession is not a career. It like when a student is working by means through a work-study program paid by the State to finance their college education. It's called working welfare and the same notion applies to teaching.
