Additionally, he has repeatedly warned of the heavy-risk associated with investing in Western nations with a recent history of poor debt management especially the U.S. until we resolve the fiscal cliff debacle. Then in September, Rogers took a bold stance on Russia, of all places. It was Russia's cheap stock market and two-decade low inflation rate that first attracted Rogers. A couple of days ago, Rogers focused on Russia's abundant natural resources when giving investors incentive to invest there. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, Russia currently harbors the world's largest natural gas deposits, the second-largest coal reserves, and the ninth-largest crude oil deposits. In 2011, Russia boasted the title of #1 crude oil producer. Recently, Russia and the U.S. have been battling for the top position as the world's largest natural gas producer in response to the natural gas boomtowns popping up in the Midwest. Small towns have made quite a name for themselves across the region has natural gas jobs have exploded in line with the innovative fracking measures. However, Rogers isn't too worried about Russia in this regard because he has noted some other positive changes for this emerging Eurosian market. Rogers has been touting Russia's structural reforms and praising the way they conduct business. These factors combined with Russia's overflow of natural resources have Rogers optimistic on the possibility of investing there. If Rogers starts investing big money in Russia, a wave of investors are expected to follow his lead. Check out one of his most recent interviews for an inside look on why Rogers is banking on Russia and why it's achieved a fiscal surplus this year and may continue that trend in the year to come...
