It's amazing how this song and video has taken the word by storm. It's hit number one in countries all over the world and the video was recognized by Guinness World Records as the most "liked" video in YouTube history with more than 615 million views and almost 5 million likes. It's so friggin' stupid its funny, but the beat is kinda catchy. I can't help but laugh when I see it. My wife is Korean and her and my kids love K-Pop so I've had to endure this song for months now but now its even worse because they play it on American radio every five damn minutes (or so it seems anyway). I finally told the kids enough is enough. When we are in the car I'm listening to classic rock! If I have to hear Oppa Gangnam style one more time I'm going to have a meltdown! "My wife is Korean and her and my kids love K-Pop......" Mine's from Taiwan and my niece posted some K pop vids on my F/B page a couple of years back and I've been hooked since. It's obvious that the Pop music center in Asia is Seoul. It's a happening place in more ways than one. Since my introduction I've become a SONE, a Shawol and an ELF---your kids can explain. I've even learned some Korean. I think that the Korean language lends itself to music more easily than Chinese as it's more lyrical to my senses having listened to English all my life. Watching the girl groups it's refreshing to see them show their class and not their ass like so many of the tarts on American TV. Somehow they come off even more beautiful that way....
