Poster Comment: I guess everyone on here knows the founders designed our form of government to be a republic, not a democracy. But politicians have perverted it into a "democracy." Most of them apparently don't even know anything about the republic or why the founders chose that as our form of government.

I used to have a bumper sticker on my truck, America is a Republic, not a Democracy. It started a lot of good conversations. I think I am going to put one on my new truck.
I'm going to make one that reads, "The worst thing the Founding Fathers did is create the position of President."
I don't think they ever imagined that the American people would get so lax as to allow the kind of people to run for that office that we are used to. And I am certain they never imagined that we would accept a foreigner in that office.
