I was sent this link by a friend of mine in liberty hill.

It is a petition to insist the subject be brought in our Texas state legislature...

We, the undersigned Texans demand that the Governor of the state of Texas, Texas House of Representatives and Senate exercise their rights and mandate a vote of all Texas Residents to secede from the United States of America, and form a NEW Independent Republic – The New Republic of Texas. This New Republic shall enter into an agreement with the United States of America settling any outstanding debts or land disputes, and shall form its own army to protect its borders, collect its taxes, and manage the government for the welfare, freedom, and liberty of its citizens.

Thank for the correction... it is one of my harder words to get right... the mis-spelling is ingrained

As for never happening....

I never thought recreational maryjane would legalised in my life time. Which is just to say that I know it seems highly improbable but sometimes things happen that blow our minds.
