Religion See other Religion Articles Title: The Second One I have mentioned that there are a number of verses in the Bible that essential to understanding the Bible. The first one is Isaiah 48:17. That verse shows us that the Bible is all about teaching us how to benefit ourselves. By applying Bible principles to ourselves we earn about how to get along with our families, our friends, our workmates, and with the world in general. We learn how to live peaceably in an increasingly violent and evil world, showing love for our brothers. We also learn not to judge others. We simply can not apply Bible principles to others. Matthew 7:1,2 John 3:18 Learning this simple lesson stops many of the problems that we cause for ourselves. At the same time, we CAN use Bible principles to chose who we elect to associate with! 1 Cor 15:33 Now, that being said, what is the second Bible verse to examine? Genesis 1:28 King James Version (KJV) And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Why is this verse important? Because it is the foundation of the Bible. From this verse, all of the Bible flows, because the blessing spoken by our Heavenly Father in this verse will exist forever, ON THIS EARTH, and it can not exist anywhere else. Now, many of the so-called Christian churches teach that this earth is to be destroyed. Is that teaching correct? No, because it violates what the Bible says, and the Bible is the Truth. That is what Jesus said in John 17:17. Look it up, please. Ecclesiastes 1:4 King James Version (KJV) One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. Psalm 104:5 King James Version (KJV) Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. Isaiah 6:3 King James Version (KJV) And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. As these versus from the King James Bible clearly show, this earth, this planet, will exist for ever. And Isaiah 6:3 also shows that the earth is our Heavenly Father's glory, because it is so full of life. This is confirmed in Revelation where we are told that one of the reasons that Jesus returns to cleanse this earth of evil is to 'ruin those ruining the earth.' Our Father is putting up with the evil on this earth right now for His Purposes. His patience, 2 Peter 3:9, will shortly be over-ridden by the necessity of intervening in human affairs for a last time. But there is much more to this as well. Genesis 1:31 King James Version (KJV) And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Everything was very good; in other words, it was perfect. Deuteronomy 32:3,4 What happened? There was a rebellion in the Garden of Eden, BUT, this rebellion did not start in the Garden; it started in Heaven with one of our Father's angelic sons. More on this later. Understanding this explains to you why we have no solution to the problems on this earth; the problem did not start here, and the solution can not come from here. And if you think differently, please see 2 Timothy 3:5. But does that mean that our Father's purpose for this earth will never be carried out/be fulfilled? IMPOSSIBLE!! Genesis 1:28 will be fulfilled! Isaiah 55:11 King James Version (KJV) So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 46:9 King James Version (KJV) Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: 11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. Isaiah 45:18 King James Version (KJV) For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else. The Bible, when it is studied, is very clear on all subjects. This is a good example. This earth is our home. Psalm 115:15 King James Version (KJV) Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth. 16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men. Psalm 37:29 King James Version (KJV) The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. This earth is our home. We have the opportunity to live on this earth, as it was given to us. Our Heavenly Father spoke this, so it is something that will last forever. BUT, we can not destroy it, contaminate it, or hurt those who inhabit it with us. Pretty logical, when you think about our Holy, Clean and Pure Father. After all, our Father is Love. We will discuss this later. Poster Comment: God is Love.
