In his weekly update, released on Monday, Congressman Ron Paul defends those who have signed petitions in all 50 states advocating secession from the federal government, referring to the principle as "deeply American". Echoing comments he made back in 2009, Paul notes "This country was born through secession. Some thought it was treasonous to secede from England, but those "traitors" became our country's greatest patriots." "… the principles of self-government and voluntary association are at the core of our founding ...There is nothing treasonous or unpatriotic about wanting a federal government that is more responsive to the people it represents," the Congressman adds. Explaining that the recent election only served to further entrench the political status quo, Paul urges "... our own federal government is vastly overstepping its constitutional bounds with no signs of reform." He reminds Americans that "the first and third paragraph of the Declaration of Independence expressly contemplate the dissolution of a political union when the underlying government becomes tyrannical." Though he says he is not holding his breath that any state will actually secede, the congressman stresses that "If the possibility of secession is completely off the table there is nothing to stop the federal government from continuing to encroach on our liberties, and no recourse for those who are sick and tired of it." Ron Paul: 2013 President of Texas ~~~~~~~~ RP will allow the seccession of Texas and become it's president if the republican party says he can.
Don't blame me. I didn't vote.
Historically....the Elites/Kings/Pharaohs etc etc, They learned to create a controlled opposition,...and then run that like a drama play with various acts. States Rights and return to the US Constitution is exactly the correct track If you do pick Ron Paul and that track of support,...don't be surprised if things go from high possibility to the ditch again.... over time.

Hi James Regaining proper State Chartered Rights would tumble many things. I don't think Ron Paul has the right character here for this...you need leaders with commanding characters and ones who can rally when the shit hits the fan.
If Scotland gets independence it may inspire a lot of people in the states. Lots of Celts here too.

I wish them the best. If they gain their independence I hope they don't fall victim to some snake-oil salesman and lose everything they gained and some more besides (like what has happened to America). That is a nice letter. I am thinking that secession would be the way to go. Now, with Obummer wanting the U.N. to control our guns, it is becoming highly more dangerous to think (or act) for yourself. Let them come and get my guns, if they have the guts to do so. The US Gov with magical appearence sites to host signature returns for theme's whereby they will respond should raise Red Flags.
They co opted everything manifested before....ie...Occutard,...Tea Party,...even controlled Ron Pauls campaign program accoss the nation.
Many Ron Paul supporters were upset and even quit him...after finding out about the corruption,..family nepotism...and the very weak -grinning response as the entire show was run in the ditch.
Rand Paul groveling before Bishop Romney was the last straw for some.
problem is...you have to secure some form of control over a State.
ie...you can't have bot and corrupt State Attorney Generals....and most especially...one's who will not terminate corrupt Sheriffs.
If you can regain the above to a framework were accountability is presented to the Public...the Public then can participate in their State political process and find that real....not fake with false promises and gatekeepers.
The Fed would lose it...as States got healthy in the legal side and themselves acted to stop out of control UN Agenda 21,...EPA,...immigration issues,..energy issues.
Other States would follow the template of success.
so...Secession is a tricky issue,...as you have to be carefull...who is leading that,...and if they are the proper party.
There are some who desire Ron Paul and co to take a back seat and let other more determined leaders arrise to regain States Rights.
Ron Paul said all the right things....but he failed to produce anything, except ..for to keep Bishop Romney out of the Whitehouse,..but here...I suggest Bilderberg decided to keep Barky for 4 more...as Romney would interfere with all the offbook stuff and foreign programs which Barky is already up to speed on.

Hi Van. I was thinking about the irony of current-day slaves asking massa to let them off the plantation. Of course massa (Obama) is laughing at his slaves and has no intention of freeing any of them. People can sign all the petitions they want and petitions like that will go into the round file. Remember the wise saying, "Power concedes nothing without struggle." Our forefathers didn't just politely ask the king if he would please let them be free, they demanded it. I have nothing against those who sign the petition of course but signing it will probably put you on the "terriers" list. I am all down for being free, don't get me wrong. I just don't think slaves are going to get massa to remove their chains willingly just because they asked nicely.

State Citizens with key US Military bases there would have to gather and decide what happens if the Gov decides to enforce powers linked to their Military bases.
Then..the citizens affiliated with those bases would have to choose wether to side with gov or the State if contentious issues arrised.
One simple path to get people engaged and aware...would be to run off the TSA
