Documentary: Tri-State killer admits to killing O.J. Simpson’s ex-wife

CINCINNATI - A convicted Tri-State killer claims to be responsible for one of the country’s most notorious murders, according to a documentary set to air on Discovery.

The Daily Mail reported early Monday morning that serial killer Glen Rogers admitted to killing Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman—the murders for which O.J. Simpson was accused. The revelations come in a new Discovery documentary set to air this week.

Police captured Rogers in Richmond, Kentucky in 1995 after a nationwide manhunt.

Rogers' brother, Clay, told documentary producers that Rogers confessed to the murders. Allegedly Rogers said that O.J. Simpson hired him to break into Nicole Brown Simpson's home and steal $20,000 diamond earrings and kill her if necessary.

Rogers, who is from Hamilton, was reportedly working in the area at the time of the murders and had allegedly even done some work for Brown-Simpson.

The documentary also says Rogers boasted about partying with Brown-Simpson and provided receipts to show he was in the area. It also calls into question one of the biggest mysteries in the Simpson murder investigation: A second pair of bloody shoe-prints at the murder scene that were never identified.

Rogers is on death row in Florida. He has admitted to dozens of murders and was convicted of killing two women in 1995.

A jury acquitted O.J. Simpson in the Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman murders.

If I were OJ, I would have promised this doomed death row inmate to make his family rich if he'd take the blame. As it is, instead of making his death sentence, keeping Rogers around to verify the Simpson murder will actually assure him of several more months of life and possibly something to break up the monotony.

Let us assume that a court or jury is persuaded that Rogers killed Nicole Simpson. Instantly, OJ moves to undo the wrongful death judgment obtained by the Goldman family. Then he could probably undo the armed robbery/kidnapping conviction that keeps him in prison, on the argument that the jury thought he was guilty but had gotten away with murdering Nicole and therefore had convicted him of the armed robbery where they might have acquitted him if not for the suspicions against him. Simpson might be out of prison and have his wealth back by this time next year.

No. You watch too much tv Shoonie. He was convicted of robbery/kidnapping based on the EVIDENCE of committing robbery/kidnapping. The EVIDENCE was overwhelming, such as VIDEO TAPE. His conviction on robbery/kidnapping was based on his robbing and kidnapping and had NOTHING to do with his acquittal on the murder charge.

IF he had a shred of data indicating that his conviction was without merit or that he did not receive a fair trial, he would have already attempted a new trial. Since he had none, there will be no new trial and his conviction stands. You do not get a new trial for crimes you committed based on a jailhouse confession regarding a previous trial where you were acquitted.
