www.SamsClub.com carries long term storage food now. The prices didn't look too bad and there's free shipping.

Some good info. I'm glad to know that I mostly store the better rated stuff. Been at it for about 30 yrs. Some rotation, some scrapped out, but surprizing how actually Long some of my stuff has lasted.

I don't know the lost food/nutrition values, just go by taste. (and bulged cans :).

Mountain House seems to be good, but a bit pricey. I've got some MRE's stacked in my closet, I'll buy some every three years and rotate them out to my backpack when I go hunting.
