We saw the same shit in Ireland recently with the so-called Children's Rights referendum (read: introducing the same legalised child trafficing that the US, UK and Sweden have) and then the Savita Halappanavar case. The journalist, Kathy Holland (whose mother is a feminist and father a member of the SWP), who broke the story later admitted she hadn't all the facts and assumed it was about her dying because she was denied an abortion.
