but the problem is, according to him, he has discussed this with the federal
authorities (FCC?), so I assume he has the green light to start arresting people
who make comments that deviate from their tightly knitted script. I also assume
this applies to talk radio too. If so, the siht is definitely on.

Don't assume he is telling the truth... Cops are like Lawyers. If their lips are moving they are probably lying.
I guarantee he has not talked to the FCC. It wouldn't be the right department.
