Jeff Cooper turned me onto a quote that I actually plagiarized and used at a town meeting once.
QUOTE: "Not only do I disagree with everything you said, but I'm thoroughly repulsed by the whimpering tones in which people like you express themselves."

Sorry, but the youtube insult outclasses this one by a mile. I've never heard one that comes close to Billy Madison's. Kept me laughing for a couple hours afterwards today!

He seemed to be in the position of moderator where he could hurl lightning bolts at others.
A quote that could be used in a public debate is more useful to me. (You know, we begin on an equal footing and the intelligence and wit rises to the top?)
It's also a bit presumptuous to state that "everyone in the room is dumber now". That could easily backfire if others disagreed and someone said, "No, you were already dumber than everyone when you got here".
What would you say then if everyone laughed for the first time when the joke is at your expense?
I'd prefer to represent only myself so I couldn't be dinged for the major faux pas of having prematurely spoken for others.
