What about Emilie? One of the most common myths circulated on message boards and in YouTube videos is that Emilie Parker is actually alive. The “proof” is a photo purportedly showing her with President Obama when he visited the school after the shooting. Conspiracists know it’s Emilie because she’s wearing the same dress as the one Emilie wore in a family portrait taken before the shooting (an alternative theory is that the girl in the photo with Obama is her “double”). [sic]
Answer: The girl on Obama’s lap is Emilie’s little sister. It’s amazing that we have to say this, but sometimes younger siblings wear clothes passed down to them from older siblings, and sometimes siblings look alike because they are siblings.
So what does that have to do with Emilie? Nothing -- and that strikethrough part is beside the point. Doesn't mean that's the case in this issue. It's amazing that I have to say this but here goes in answer to Alex Seitz-Wald's non-answer:

That brings to mind that idiot in Hawaii, Governor Abercrombie, who said in reference to Obama, "I was here when that baby was born." Where he may or may not have been is irrelevant. The fact that he was in Hawaii on any given date doesn't prove Obama was born there. I was here on the mainland when Obama was born, presumably the Beatles were in England but none of that proves that Obama was born in Hawaii.
