President Obama said he'd take "executive action" to deal with guns at his press conference today: "My understanding is the vice president's going to provide a range of steps that we can take to reduce gun violence," said Obama. "Some of them will require legislation, some of them I can accomplish through executive action. And so I will be reviewing those today, and as I said, I will speak in more detail to what we're going to go ahead and propose later in the week. But I'm confident that there are some steps that we can take that don't require legislation and that are within my authority as president, and where you get a step that, has the opportunity to reduce the possibility of gun violence, then i want to go ahead and take it." BTP Holdings: Looks as if the good Senator is a closet gun rights advocate. :) I hadn't read the entire article when I posted that from it. Sorry for any misimpressions because of my hastiness there. Apparently (Ref. Page 2 of 3), Reid did move to include the limitation but his motivation was probably to make it so Obamacare was not contested heavily by the NRA and gunowners on 2nd Amendment grounds -- so that it would pass more easily, rather than being a gun rights advocate himself or mindful of the Constitution. My concern now is that India (for example) was set up quite some years ago as a Medical Records Transcription importer-exporter and might be used as a backdoor way to obtain info otherwise blocked here by America's privacy laws. Not sure but am doubtful that India is as privacy-restrained by HIPPA, ACA, or any other American law as is the Medical Complex in America. Edited for formatting.
Looks as if they have slipped one over on them this time around. Let's hope we can keep them at bay. I was watching Obummer on cable and they were repeating the same tired anti- gun canards that we heard when I lived in Illinois, "If only it saves one life."

It goes on to say there: According to the Congressional glossary C-Span, an executive order is “a presidential directive with the force of law” that does not need congressional approval because it is made in the President’s capacity as commander-in-chief. Apparently, C-Span doesn't even seem to realize that Presidents are Commander- in-Chief of the Military, not the entire country. They also seem to be working to deceive Americans into believing that Presidential Dictatorship by Executive Order Fiat is law but it isn't -- either that or they've been misinformed. Afaik, none of the "gun-control"/Commie Control EOs Obama signed are even associated with any Congressional law except to overstep Reid's Obamacare restrictions.
