U.S. SENATE SLITS AMERICAN WORKERS’ THROATS

NewsWithViews.com
By Frosty Wooldridge
November 19, 2005

On November 4, 2005, 85 U.S. senators, voted into office to represent American citizens—instead—pulled out their knives and sliced American workers’ throats. What occurred is unconscionable and brutally obscene.

We already suffer nearly one million lost American jobs from H-1B, H-2B and L-1 visas to foreigners and their families. Instead of working, our citizens stand in unemployment lines while we listen to broken English from an outsourced job to an employee from India or “Push two for Spanish” on our phones.

Senator Robert Byrd, a democrat from West Virginia presented an amendment to Budget Reconciliation Senate Bill #1932 to strip 350,000 H-1B visas. Our senators, at the highest portals of power, voted to override the amendment and steal those 350,000 jobs away from Americans and award them to strangers from other countries.

Have you ever gotten a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach when someone you respected betrayed you, lied to you, cheated you or screwed you by treacherous means? This one makes me sick to my stomach.

Only 13 senators voted to strip the bill of the 350,000 visas for foreigners. The following honorable senators voted to stop giving our jobs away: Akaka, Byrd, Dayton, Dodd, Dorgan, Durbin, Feingold, Landrieu, Rockefeller, Stabenow, Jeffords, Inhofe and Sessions.

The remaining 85 senators, bought off by the US Chamber of Commerce and mega bucks multinational corporations that hold a campaign-funding gun to their senatorial heads—persuaded our senators to vote against all of us. They won! We lost, again!

What’s more, those senators want to INCREASE the current 1.1 million legal immigrants per year to ever higher numbers while they won’t take a stinking step to secure our borders against the three million illegal aliens crossing our borders annually. They lawfully would like to increase horrific numbers of immigrants while they wink and nod at the massive invasion of illegal aliens. Who voted these senators into office anyway and how do they get re-elected every six years? Pray, tell me, who, in their right mind, keeps voting Teddy Kennedy into office decade after decade?

Since 1996, the Senate stands as a vast wasteland when it comes to concern about immigration competition undermining American workers and over-taxation of our cities’ infrastructures. Why do they do it? They comprise a network of bought-off corporate lackeys under the thumb of money. That money ensures they get reelected because voters don’t take time to study what’s going on under their noses.

An American, Bill Gates of Microsoft, the richest man in the world, utilizes his immense financial power to add more H-1B visas. Gates stands as the premier example of corporate power buying off our elected officials. As if $50 billion in his bank account isn’t enough! Personally, I find Gates’ greed as sickening as Ken Lay of Enron.

Get this! We already suffer 900,000 H1-B, H-2B and L-1 visas that have stolen jobs away from American citizens. Those visas allow foreigners from China, India, Brazil and other countries to come over here and take jobs away from American citizens.

When our Senate had a chance to stop the next wave of 350,000 H-1B visas, they voted against you and me—and we’re the ones who elected them. What’s wrong with this picture? And, where does this insanity end? It doesn’t because not enough Americans speak up.

There’s an old story about a man who watched the Nazis take neighbors from their houses each night and he didn’t speak out. Finally, they came for him and there was no one left to speak out for him, either. In all my columns you’ve read over the years, I’m speaking out to you so you can speak out to Bush and Congress. Congressman Tom Tancredo speaks out because he sees this immigration invasion’s final consequences. The House’s Immigration Reform Caucus jumped to 91 members which is the largest caucus in the House of Representatives. It needs to jump to 435 members! How is that going to happen so we can stop further wholesale H-1B, H-2B and L-1 visas given to hundreds of thousands of foreigners?

My father was a 27 year career United States Marine who fought in WWII and Korea. He died while in service to our country. He said, “Son, when you know you’re right—stand up and speak out!”

Today, in America—our language and our way of life is undermined by the VERY leaders we elected into office at the highest levels. We’ve got a president who refuses to enforce our immigration laws and a Congress that does NOTHING to secure our borders from terrorist attacks and the onslaught of millions of illegal aliens.

If you don’t speak out, who will? It takes every one of us, every day! Call your senators and congressmen at 1 877 762 8762. Demand they stop H-1B, H-2B and L-1 visas. Tell them to stop outsourcing, insourcing and offshoring of our jobs. Join www.numbersusa.com and become a weekly faxer. We’ve got 14 million Americans who would love to work those jobs. Tell them you want illegal immigration stopped and you want a moratorium on all immigration!

I’m tired of my own Congress slitting the throats of my fellow American citizens. It’s time for us to take action.

350,000 H-1B visas

Is that 350,000 per year? because if it is, then that is a very large number.

"Immigration is an issue that demands the attention of the Congress, and, regretfully, we have been told that tougher enforcement actions will have to wait until next year. And so, imagine the surprise of Senators to find provisions buried deep, deep in this budget bill that would authorize the U.S. Government to issue more than 350,000 additional immigrant visas each year to foreign laborers seeking to live and work permanently in the United States,"

each year

well, that answers it then. 350,000 PER YEAR. that is a lot. In the late 1990's it was 195,000 per year.

and then we have Tancredo's bill - that will essentially make it so that american employers will be able to hire unlimited from foreign sources. and it is important to understand that these people they're able to hire are compromised in the labor market, compromised in that they can legally work only one job, they can't quit or get fired and go find another. If the employer fires them or the person quits, then the person pays a HUGE personal price. An H1-b visa holder must go immediately home. His dreams of getting a green card after 6 years and making it legal for his family to migrate here immediately go away. The person is a semi-slave. This is what the American employers like about the program.

Slitting of throats - that is an apt description.

You can speak out until you are blue in the face, most Americans don't give a shit about anything but their own butts, and even if they did, we no longer live in Democracy anyway. I know many people don't want to here this, but revolution is the only solution to this problem.

I agree RickyJ.

Back in 1989 when they first made H1-b visas it was a small trickle and it was sold as something that would be for high-tech jobs only. And a lot of them are the high-tech or professional jobs. But today we're seeing policies whereby all american employers will be able to hire semi-slaves under circumstances similar to H1-b. The americans are incredibly foolish to put up with it. Yet there's been no move whatsoever against the politicians who vote for this.

With Diebold counting the votes and the media spreading the propaganda with their fictional news accounts, it doesn't matter if 80% of Americans showed up to vote them out. For all we know 60% of Americans may have showed up to vote Bush out, I guess we will never know the real truth here. I suppose that the the exit polls were probably right, and the "real" polls wrong.

I've said the same thing for a couple of years, we need a revolution! The huge mess this country is in now is just ridiculous! I've seen the demise of a once great nation in the last 20 years, all from within itself. Some Americans DO only think of themselves and do not think about their children and grandchildren and what kind of life they are going to have to face when all of our jobs have been outsourced and our borders LEFT wide open for just anyone to come right on in. I'm fighting with all I have, for the sake of future generations! I call my representatives, write letters, sign petitons, etc. Anything I can do to help. If ALL Americans citizens would do the same, you would see some changes. Americans need to wake up before it's too late!

Secure our borders, save our nation!

With a little over half of the people in this country (about 55%) getting their primary source of income from a government paycheck (local, county, state, or federal), revolution is highly unlikely.

There's kind of a freedom in being completly screwed.
