The Obama Administration’s pledges for aid to the French invasion of Mali have mostly been vague, and outgoing Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has repeatedly ruled out ground troops.

But the appetite for an ever increasing US role in this war seems to be considerable among key House Republicans, with several leaders of top committees pushing for the US to commit broader military and logistics support to the conflict.

“We should have our ally’s back,” said Foreign Affairs Committee chair Ed Royce (R – CA), and while some, like Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Mike Rogers (R – MI) said that meant everything “short of troops on the ground,” some weren’t even willing to limit it in this manner.

Armed Services subcommittee on Emerging Threats Rep. Mac Thornberry (R – TX) didn’t see the need to rule out ground troops, saying the US needed to do whatever it could “to beat this threat back.”

“We are going to have a lot more of these situations,” Thornberry added, saying that the US “always has to do what it takes, unilaterally, to protect our interests.”

These pukes think more like King George III than George Washington. Mac Thornberry is an embarrassment to Texas.

Wait until the fight is right here on Texas soil and Thornberry requests aid from his so-called allies.

We should all be livid. Stop acting like docile, mentally castrated pussies and grow a pair. It's time to get in their face. Why should we speak in hushed tones and act all polite when we are being metaphorically raped every day?

Americans who want to fight in France's invasion of Mali can join the French Foreign Legion. America out of the UN and NATO. No Unconstitutional wars or Unconstitutional governance. All American Military home now.

These war hawk dopes couldn't find Mali on a map if their lives depended on it, but they're all for getting our GI's into yet another useless foreign quagmire.

Here's another anti war article on France and Mali - what a hoot - the frogs say they will stay there until Mali is terrorist-free - yet in the interim since France started its aerial bombing, the Islamists have succeeded in taking more territory in Mali.Following the French into battle is a guaranteed lose/lose proposition.
