Title: Anonymous avenges death of Aaron Swartz with takeover of US government judicial website and message of freedom

(NaturalNews) Mere weeks after the death of internet revolutionary Aaron Swartz who was threatened with 50 years of prison time by the U.S. government, the group Anonymous has struck back with a takeover of the U.S. Sentencing Commission website. (IP address of 66.153.19.162)

That attack took control of the website and replaced it with the following message from Anonymous:

Citizens of the world,

Anonymous has observed for some time now the trajectory of justice in the United States with growing concern. We have marked the departure of this system from the noble ideals in which it was born and enshrined. We have seen the erosion of due process, the dilution of constitutional rights, the usurpation of the rightful authority of courts by the "discretion" or prosecutors. We have seen how the law is wielded less and less to uphold justice, and more and more to exercise control, authority and power in the interests of oppression or personal gain.

Right from the start, let me say on the record that this statement from Anonymous is 100% accurate and true. Over the last few years, the U.S. government has become an outright tyranny. It is now obvious that the entire Homeland Security apparatus that we were told was being built for "terrorists" was actually being constructed to spy on and suppress American citizens. The armed government raids on raw milk producers, home farms, vitamin companies, ministries and other innocent operations have reached a point of insanity. And now, the government wants to disarm the American people, creating a monopoly of force in the hands of the government itself.

These are all red flag signs that freedom is being suffocated in America, and in its place a totalitarianistic regime has been erected and rolled out.

Aaron Swartz was only the latest victim of an out-of-control federal government whose prosecutors seem to take great pleasure in destroying as many innocent lives as possible. Swartz was facing 50 years in prison for the "crime" of downloading academic papers from servers at MIT -- the very same papers that were freely distributed to other students of the school. Only in a totalitarianistic police state could "downloading academic documents" earn a person 50 years in prison, and it is the outright insanity and absurdity of this situation that apparently motivated Anonymous to take this action against the government.

It also appears that the US government is all but defenseless against Anonymous, a group that seems capable of locating secret documents and taking over websites at will.

Secret documents soon to be made public In addition to taking over the US government website, Anonymous also says it has copied "secret information" that it may choose to make public.

As of the time of this writing, I could not find any details on what these documents might contain, but given that virtually everyone in the highest levels of government today is an outright criminal running various scams and rackets, the documents are bound to be extremely embarrassing to the government.

Anonymous describes them as follows:

The contents are various and we won’t ruin the speculation by revealing them. Suffice it to say, everyone has secrets, and some things are not meant to be public.

At a regular interval commencing today, we will choose one media outlet and supply them with heavily redacted partial contents of the file. Any media outlets wishing to be eligible for this program must include within their reporting a means of secure communications.

America is an occupied nation For the record, Natural News acknowledges that the United States of America is now an occupied nation taken over by an illegitimate cabal of traitors and infiltrators who are seeking to dismantle all the rights, freedoms and protections put in place by our Founding Fathers. We seek the restoration of due process, personal privacy, individual liberty and wholesale freedom. We seek the outright repeal of the Patriot Act, the DMCA, the NDAA and other extremely abusive laws which characterize the criminal regime currently occupying the highest levels of government.

We do not endorse violent revolution but, instead, advocate truth-telling, whistleblowing and exposing the lies and deceptions of the current regime rather than attempting to restore the Republic by force. We believe in the power of the People to overcome oppression, and we believe that information should be set free.

I previously wrote about the death of Aaron Swartz, characterizing it as a government murder. The sad part is that the attempted prosecution of Swartz is just one of a long train of abuses against the people that have been committed by this tyrannical regime in Washington D.C. I can't even tell you how many small businesses, ministries and nutritional companies have come to me privately, off the record, with their horror stories of being threatened and intimidated by the FTC (yes, the FTC) into signing "consent decrees" where they are forced to admit to "crimes" they never committed (such as selling "adulterated drugs" which were actually nothing more than cherry extracts). The FDA is also engaged in extortion rackets.

Underneath the manipulative language of Obama, the federal government today has become a destructive, abusive dictatorial regime that's rife with abuses of power. I've seen criminals run free and innocents get thrown in prison. Prosecution of crimes in America is now completely subjective and nonsensical, and the only people targeted with criminal indictments today are those individuals who the system is trying to silence or eliminate.

America has become a nation of mafia-run justice, where the mafia is the government. Anonymous gets that, and its members seem dedicated to striking back against the empire using whatever tools are available.

Now you know why Feinstein, Obama and Biden are trying to completely disarm the American population: They don't want people to be able to fight back against the massive rollout of dictatorial tyranny they have planned for America. But it's now apparent that the illegitimate criminals who are trying to take over America are facing resistance at every turn: information resistance, political resistance and even resistance by force if you believe some of the blogs people have posted where they swear they would rather die than give up their guns to the government.

I can't help but think the U.S. government has vastly underestimated its electronic vulnerabilities. It seems to be trying to roll out tyranny by following in the footsteps of people like Adolf Hitler, but it does not realize that the next revolution for freedom is likely to be an electronic revolution rather than a physical one. Guns are important for liberty, but principled hackers are the real game changers.

Excellent article. Thanks for sharing.

I can hardly wait to see what "secret documents" Anonymous will reveal next.

I hope they release all of it and un-redacted.

Powerful indictment of our gov't that is for and by Corporate Interests. How scary that FedGovt is empowered to pursue SELECTIVE PROSECUTION ( it can be used against you or me at FedGovt's pleasure) through a broad interpretation of Computer Fraud and Abuse Act legislation.

And what was Obama's so-called "progressive"Administration's response to the outcry against the persecution of Aaron Swartz because of this faux law, that parts of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act had to be changed? His spokesman, Department of Justice Computer Crime Chief Richard Downing claims it will be impossible “to deter serious insider threats through prosecution” if the CFAA is watered down. Anti-intellectual zealot bureaucrat. Hey he's just doing what Le Roi Obama tells him to do. Bammy is big on cracking down on "cyber crime" as we know. Bankster criminals, not so much.

"In testimony prepared for the Senate Judiciary Committee from November 2011, the DOJ explicitly opposed narrowing the definition of what “unauthorized access” means.

“We are concerned that that restricting the statute in this way would make it difficult or impossible to deter and address serious insider threats through prosecution,” according to testimony submitted at the time by Richard Downing, the DOJ’s deputy chief of its computer crime and intellectual property section of its criminal division."

(No way in hell that young man offed himself.)

He may very well have killed himself - his family say he was depressed due to the bullying by the DOJ and extreme disproportionate "high crimes" charges he faced.

But family and friends suggest that the DOJ and MIT have blood on their hands for causing Swartz to kill himself by pursuing an absurdly unfair, unjust case against him.

I've been depressed from time to time, possibly, everyone here has had some down times.

But none of us have hanged ourself.

Internet Activist's Prosecutor Linked To Another Hacker's Death

posted on January 14, 2013

Prosecutor Stephen Heymann has been blamed for contributing to Swartz’s suicide. Back in 2008, young hacker Jonathan James [...the first juvenile put into confinement for a federal cybercrime case...] killed himself in the midst of a federal investigation led by the same prosecutor.

It appears that is on the horizon. They keep pushing and pushing and don't seem to know when and where to stop.
