People have a right, granted by God (not by any politician or bureaucrat) to protect themselves. The founders of this nation recognized that right, among others, and listed it in the Bill of Rights. In talking about the people's right to "keep and bear arms" the verbiage they used said "shall not be infringed." I have serious concerns about this country when people who have taken an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution don't seem to have much of an idea what it means. Is the simple phrase "shall not be infringed" that hard to understand?!?! NO on any gun ban...NO on any magazine ban...NO on criminalizing private firearms transfers...and NO on any gun registration scheme. Anyone who votes in favor of any of those things or tries to get others to is not worthy of their office and should be impeached and imprisoned.
