I understand. I have problems myself telling the difference between two tiny Asian women and a 270-pound black muscleman.

I forgive the police.

LOL! Yeah, it is awfully hard to tell the difference between folks who are 5 foot nothing and 120 pounds or so and a tall black bodybuilder who weighs over 250.

What does this crime have to do with Dorner's crime? .... Anybody? Could you reasonably expect to use this defense if you were to shoot up your neighborhood? Cities have burned for less than this.

I think it just shows that the cops are trigger happy and will shoot whoever is handy when they get the urge to send someone to their reward.

They were the daughter and her fiance of Dorner's lawyer.

No, this crime. Nothing to do with Dorner. Two old ladies delivering papers.

Wonder how many rounds they fired off, and whether or not they used fully automatic assault weapons.

Surprised they just didn't call in a drone strike.

And they want to take OUR guns away?

They probably fired until they ran out of ammo. And I don't know why anyone would think that they should depend on cops for their protection. Even if we could assume that all cops are well meaning and wouldn't shoot us for not obeying him quickly enough, which we can't, they still couldn't be right there with you when the need for one might arise. When seconds count they are almost always minutes away.

Just in case anyone else is wondering, I stopped counting bullet holes at 44 holes.

My experience has been that when I had absolutely no desire to see one--like when I was going a bit faster than the sign said was permissible--they would be handy. Sometimes it seemed like they were riding in my trunk. Any other time, when I might actually have been glad to see one there were none around.

Bingo!

They are contracted revenue enhancers for their corporate employers, who may also take the time to document any murder, mayhem, or mischief which may have occurred within their corporate jurisdiction. (Or not)

They have zero obligation to either protect or serve the residents therein.

I forgive the police.

You're a much more gentle soul than am I.

Several old friends of mine have this tattooed on their skin.

I haven't gone quite that far, but have adopted their philosophy as my own.

Especially when it comes to people / things that matter to me.

And the way things are going these days, patch or not, most of us are outlaws even without intending to be so.

...most of us are outlaws even without intending to be so.

We've not changed at all, the "laws" have changed.

As your tag suggests, it is way, way, way past time for a total re-boot of this country.

(I don't even call it my country anymore.)

No "Halt", "Stop!" nothing. 7 of these heroes unloaded their weapons into this truck and nobody but the citizens of LA will pay. For christ sake they didn't even look inside the truck or they wouldn't have fired.
