PressTV: Following months of efforts, 16 new sites for nuclear power plants have been designated in coastal areas of the Caspian Sea, the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman, [southwestern province of] Khuzestan and northwestern part of the country.” The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) announces that the Islamic Republic plans to construct 16 nuclear power plants. “Following months of efforts, 16 new sites for nuclear power plants have been designated in coastal areas of the Caspian Sea, the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman, [southwestern province of] Khuzestan and northwestern part of the country,” the AEOI said on Saturday. It added the projects are in line with Iran’s long-term plans to develop electricity generation via nuclear power plants and in accordance with standard and international regulations. The organization also said that Iran has discovered more uranium deposits to further improve its position among countries possessing nuclear technology. Following the new discoveries over the past 1.5 years, the country’s mineral reserves and resources have increased 4.5 times compared to 35 years ago. Iran says all activities by its nuclear experts are aimed at defending the Iranian nation. SF/MA

Too bad for them. Seems to me Fukashemia (sp) has decided the issue, if not a extinction event for the planet. It is the most supressed story of all time. As time progresses techniques may be developed to recycle nuke power plant waste as well as take precautions to preclude disastrous contamination, even sabotage as some have suggested was carried out by Israel to prevent Japan from shipping weapons grade uranium to Iran.
I hope to God that Iran's not playing into the hands of those who are rigging a bigger game with the intent of organizing a large western strike against that country. Israel is becoming more paranoid and intransigent by the day.

let's think about that for a minute... if you're an israeli that's driven himself/herself nuts with paranoia rooted in "thousands of years of persecution"... what country is the biggest threat to israel's existence? . how did crusader bunnypants arrive at his list for the "axis of evil"? ...wasnt there a certain amount of puzzling about why north korea was included along with the oily muslim states of iraq and iran? is it becoming clearer, now, what that "axis of evil" business is about?
when you figure in israel's samson option, and the neocons' nuclear primacy then it gets even crazier, doesnt it? ...and even crazier yet in view of the fact that it's becoming more obvious every day that israel is probably the worst mistake jews ever made.

the whole goddamned situation boils down to jewish craziness, apparently, although we cant rule out the possibility that some jews are crazy enough to serve as front men for equally crazy goys... well, if you can loot yourself into immunity, why not? ...and never mind how many little jews get shat on as a consequence... after all, little jews have been conditioned to expect persecution, havent they? . the craziness is best demonstrated by neocons like bill kristol, who intend to establish "benevolent global hegemony" through nuclear terror. dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb
The craziness is a symptom stemming from cognitive backwardness and administrative incompetence on the part of pretentious, administratively incompetent leaders whose ability to govern depends on generating fear of enemies abroad as was the case with marauding gangs of the ancient past. This was well demonstrated by the Soviet Union's Bolshevik Jews who fabricated a Cold War in an attempt to instill fear in the domestic population of enemies abroad from whom Slavs ostensibly needed protection despite those "enemies" being relatives who had emigrated.
