We’re happy to announce that DNA tests for genealogy are now available on FamilyLink! For a limited time only, we're offering special discounts on this cutting-edge technology to enhance your family history research. With our simple cheek-swab DNA test, you can make discoveries you never knew were possible:

Discover your origins and find new relatives - Have you hit a brick wall in your research? DNA can solve lifelong family history puzzles. Map your ethnic origins - Do you have European, Native American, Jewish or African American ancestry you didn't know about? Prove your surname's ancestry - Are the males carrying your surname really related to each other?

FamilyLink's partner Family Tree DNA is a global leader in DNA tests specialized for genealogy. Pioneers of genetic genealogy, Family Tree DNA established the world's largest DNA database for genealogy (with more than 400,000 DNA records) and are well known for their work with National Geographic on the Genographic Project. We’re offering a particularly large discount on the most versatile DNA test, called Family Finder. Based on autosomal DNA, Family Finder can find people related to you through any shared ancestor, within the last 5 generations, not just through the direct paternal or maternal lines.

All DNA tests are used for genealogical purposes only and do not analyze any disease or medical information. Privacy is strictly enforced. The results are analyzed in an advanced genetic genealogy lab in Houston, Texas and are not shared with anyone but you. All DNA tests are a one-time purchase with no subscription fees, and you will continue to receive new DNA matches for free for many years to come as more people are tested.

If you're eager to enrich your family history or if you're curious to try out some of the most revolutionary technology for genealogy available, be sure to review your options with the new DNA testing service on FamilyLink. If you have questions about these DNA tests, read our detailed DNA FAQ.

Never heard of it. But then how does this "Family Link" resolve issues concerning false birth certificates where the so-called family you lived with while growing up was not your true biological parents to begin with and that you were secretly sold by a biological parent to your assumed family and that a member (sister) of your biological family on your mother's side was part of the secret deal so that the sister could rake in the inheritance that belongs to the child that was sold? And that that child grew up used as a slave to this assumed family and finds out later in life they meant nothing to this family ever but just as a tax write off?

Sounds similar to the ancestry.com that Noory advertises on C2C but will trace ancestry on the basis of a DNA bank.

Thanks for that link.

I miss hearing Art Bell on Dreamland before it was Noory's Coast to Coast. I was an avid listener on Art's show. It's just not the same without him. :(
