Former National Security Agency officer, Wayne Madsen, says police concluded that the death of Philip Marshal, a 9/11 investigator, was suicide before the investigation had been completed and subsequently allowed professional cleaning crews to sweep the crime scene.
“The local sheriff’s department quickly concluded that Phil Marshal’s shot his two children and his dog and then himself , however the investigation had not been fully completed when they made that determination,” Madsen, who has conducted on-site investigation into the incident, told the U.S. Desk on Wednesday.
“And then the sheriff allowed the crime scene to be cleaned by professional cleaning personnel,” he added.
Earlier in February it was reported that Philip Marshall, ex-CIA and author of “The Big Bamboozle: 9/11 and the War on Terror”, had been found dead inside his home alongside his two teenage children and the family dog. All had sustained gunshot wounds.
Authorities claim it was “murder suicide”, but while writing the book, Marshall believed that his life was in danger because of the allegations he was making in the book.
“There has been a real problem in lost evidence, lost clues and right now there is a demand for either the Attorney General of the state of California, Kamala Harris, to launch her own investigation of Marshall’s death, or the U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder ordering the FBI to conduct an independent investigation,” Madsen said.
In an interview about the case, Dr. Kevin Barrett, a Ph.D. Arabist-Islamologist and one of America's best-known critics of the “War on Terror” also expressed concern that the U.S. government might have been involved in Marshal’s death.
“It’s clear that they [local police] are reading from a script that’s been forced on them by higher authority in the so-called national security community which, as I said, is mixed in with organized crime and the Israeli power centers,” said Barret on February 20.
“It seems that Philip Marshall had gotten his hands on some kind of explosive information as he [Madsen] put it. And, he was planning to publish this in his next book,” Barret said.
In a written statement last year, Marshall said, “Think about this, the official version about some ghost (Osama bin Laden) in some cave on the other side of the world defeating our entire military establishment on U.S. soil is absolutely preposterous.”
Marshall went on to say: “The true reason the [9/11] attack was successful is because of an inside military stand-down and a coordinated training operation that prepared the hijackers to fly heavy commercial airliners. We have dozens of FBI documents to prove that this flight training was conducted California, Florida and Arizona in the 18 months leading up to the attack.”
