Bot out by Bimbo a Mexican Baker yesterday. The pensions of all the workers were stolen by the mgt. and prolly to a much smaller extent by the union. My long time friend, Kathy, was ruined by this, she worked for them, managed a store next to mine, for at least 20 years, and has nothing. Totally robbed by the "legal bankrupcy" system. No doubt there is more to this than I am aware of - but Kathy worked there for a loooooooog time and the folks who ran the thing into BK walked away with $$$Millions (of Kathy's pension) Sweet. If this shit is capitalism leave me out of it. I suppose she will be cleaning houses when she is 72 to buy food. I would pay up to two bucks for a good hostess style cherry or apple pie, where is the supply side during this crisis?

Mrs. Freshley also offers her brand of Twinkie. I never was much of a Twinkie fan, so I never tried her Twinkie. But the manager at the local Family Dollar Store says they are tastier than the Hostess Twinkie.

...but the portion control is OK. I can and do cook just about anything but if I cook a cake I eat a cake. Wilton makes miniature pans that are great for baking small portions. Just take a favorite recipe and cut it down to size. I love tea breads and I make them in small loaf pans. You can also buy several pans and make several cakes and then freeze them. It works great with Cinnamon Rolls (yummmmmmmmmm!). Cheesecake bites are made by using mini-muffin pans - and they freeze good too. Thanks for the tip - I lovvvvvvvve Twinkies - or at least I did as kid when they still used real ingredients and not all the chemicals that were in them toward the end. I suspect that is one of the reasons Hostess folded - they made their name by making a better product that used quality ingredients and in attempting to boost their profit by a few cents they cut the quality and people stopped buying. I know that where I once loved Twinkies I had not bought one in probably ten years when they folded. Yes. This appears to be the "New" New Deal. I'm very sorry to learn of Kathy's misfortune. But the swindlers actually believe that a blue-suited Jesus will soon return and say, "Nice ass kicking, guys!"
