That was so true it was hilarious onion humor.

This is a joke, no school has this on their answering machine. They want to keep their jobs.

God is always good!

It was funny.

Americans who have no experience with, or knowledge of, tyranny believe that only terrorists will experience the unchecked power of the state. They will believe this until it happens to them, or their children, or their friends.

You are correct. According to Snopes it began as a joke or more accurately, an exercise in frustration at Pacific Palisades Charter High School in 2002, and was then borrowed for the Aussie version in 2009.

In both cases it was never actually used on the schools' answering machines.

Good find.

Of course it was never used, it was way too truthy.

On a long enough timeline the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

Right.

The people who have access to this information like the sense of being unique and privileged. That’s the psychology of secret organizations and why they flourish. Privileged information is the ambrosia of elitists. It gives them a sense of power, and the human ego loves to feed from the trough of power.
