Title: My Reply to the Idiot Who Currently (Illegally) Occupies the White House

I recently sent an email in which I strongly disagreed with the government's ongoing program to disarm the American people. Today I got an email, one which in olden times would be called a form letter, from the Kenyan. If anyone wants to read it all I can post it but I just took a part of it that I took strong exception to and responded (not that I think the Kenyan will ever see it). For whatever it's worth, here is it.

"Second, Congress should renew the 10-round limit on magazines and reinstate and strengthen the assault weapons ban. We should get tougher on those who buy guns with the purpose of selling them to criminals, and we should impose serious punishments on anyone who helps them do this..."

Congress should do no such thing! It is not your business or that of any number of Congressmen/women how many rounds people have in their magazines. Any that is suitable for the military is suitable for the citizens. Despite what the government would like for people to believe, the right to keep and bear arms has little, if anything, to do with duck hunting or any hunting. The founders wanted to be sure that people had another check against a government grown drunk with its own power which seems to be the case now.

As for the idea of getting tougher on those who buy guns with the purpose of selling them to criminals and imposing serious penalties on anyone who helps them do this, I think that is a splendid idea. And the place to start would be with the government agents/officials who participated in that gun running scheme known as Fast and Furious. I have yet to hear of any indictments in that fiasco but then I know the purpose behind it was to get people to ask government to infringe even further on our rights.

Finally, if you are serious about getting these "assault weapons" off the streets why not make the White House a gun-free zone? You have been quoted as saying that "guns don't protect us" yet you and your family are surrounded by government agents carrying not just semi autos, which you would like to deny to average Americans, but full autos, weapons average Americans can't even own without jumping through a lot of hoops. You and Joe Biden could "put your money where your mouth is" (so to speak) by disarming all the agents who are guarding you and your families.

That is why the debate is couched the way it is as "for the good of the people".

That is how Hitler was able to confiscate all of the German Citizenry's guns.

That is how Stalin was able to confiscate all of the Russian Citizenry's guns.

No, what they really fear the most is guns in the hands of normally law-abiding citizens who have grown tired of the encroaching and increasing tyranny.

If you were the Emperor (like Obama thinks he is) and some of the "subjects" are pointing out more and more how "the emperor has no clothes" wouldn't you start being a bit fearful of the peons?

Americans who have no experience with, or knowledge of, tyranny believe that only terrorists will experience the unchecked power of the state. They will believe this until it happens to them, or their children, or their friends.

That's sorta what I had in mind when I was replying.

The sad thing is that there are people out amongst us who actually believe that BS.

Here is the original message I sent to a handful of politicians that got the response from the Kenyan (or one of his flunkies).

People have a right, granted by God (not by any politician or bureaucrat) to protect themselves. The founders of this nation recognized that right, among others, and listed it in the Bill of Rights. In talking about the people's right to "keep and bear arms" the verbiage they used said "shall not be infringed." I have serious concerns about this country when people who have taken an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution don't seem to have much of an idea what it means. Is the simple phrase "shall not be infringed" that hard to understand?!?!

NO on any gun ban...NO on any magazine ban...NO on criminalizing private firearms transfers...and NO on any gun registration scheme. Anyone who votes in favor of any of those things or tries to get others to is not worthy of their office and should be impeached and imprisoned.

Americans who have no experience with, or knowledge of, tyranny believe that only terrorists will experience the unchecked power of the state. They will believe this until it happens to them, or their children, or their friends.

Or worse.

Whoa there Nellie! That never happened. Check this 4um link:

Gun Control in Germany, 1928-1945

...Unfortunately for those who would like to link Hitler and the National Socialists with gun control, the entire premise for such an effort is false. German firearms legislation under Hitler, far from banning private ownership, actually facilitated the keeping and bearing of arms by German citizens by eliminating or ameliorating restrictive laws which had been enacted by the government preceding his: a left-center government which had contained a number of Jews...

On a long enough timeline the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

Mike Flaherty: Yeah, it's been there a long time. I wish I knew which corner.
