The Huffington Post | By Ryan Grenoble An ancient burial site in Mexico, discovered in 1999 but only recently investigated, has revealed skeletal remains with odd, "alien-shaped" skulls. They were unearthed in the northwestern Mexican state of Sonora at a site known as "El Cementerio" when workers stumbled upon the remains accidentally while digging to install an irrigation system. According to Time, the bones date to between A.D. 940 and 1308, making them around 1,000 years old. The skulls appear to have been intentionally deformed until they resembled something akin to the "Coneheads," the fictional alien family made famous on "Saturday Night Live" in the late 1970s. “This was an Hispanic cemetery with 25 skulls, and 13 of them have deformed heads,” Cristina Garcia Moreno, a researcher from Arizona State University who worked on the project, told ABC News. “We don’t know why this population specifically deformed their heads.” Although skull deformation was a documented ritual among many indigenous groups in southern Central and South America, LiveScience reports this is the first discovery of the practice so far north. "The most important implication would be to extend the northern boundary of the Mesoamerican influence," Moreno explained to LiveScience. In an earlier interview with HuffPost Weird, Ryan Matthew, a host on the Science Channel, explained that the process of cranial deformation usually began in childhood. "When you were a newborn baby, you would be cradle-boarded," Matthew said. "They would put two boards around the head and wrap it very securely. Ms. Moreno and the science reporter are totally ignorant. Tribes of the Columbia River, MUCH father north did this. Irony: Their eastern neighbors, the Flathead Indians of western Montana, did not in fact have flat heads, but were called that by their neighbors near the Columbia river region who deformed their heads in infancy to be pointy. The white man adopted the name for the Flatheads without understanding why (Washington/Oregon saw settlers first), and thus a tribe became known for a practice which it in fact despised. These resemble skulls found in Peru, which are not deformed, but possess a mass on average much higher than normal adult human skulls and have a cranial volume at least one third greater than ours. Brien Foerster reveals exclusive details about elongated skulls from Peru On July 20, 2012, the Unexplained Phenomena Examiner had the good fortune to speak with Brien Foerster from "Ancient Aliens." Foerster is an accomplished author and researcher who took time from his busy schedule to provide additional information and answer questions about the recent discovery of elongated skulls found in Peru, which included an elongated baby skull and the elongated skull of an unborn fetus. He provided the following information exclusively to Examiner.com's readers. This is a follow-up to the article "DNA testing underway on 'alien hybrid human baby' found in Peru." Examiner: When do you expect the results of the DNA testing on the elongated human skulls found in Peru? Foerster: The process began over a year ago, in April of 2011 when I sent samples to Lloyd Pye of the Starchild Project: http://www.starchildproject.com/ The initial samples I sent were bone, skin and hair from five elongated skulls, and unfortunately they were contaminated with bacterial DNA. The skulls are more than 2000 years old, so this was, in retrospect to be expected. However, his geneticist did indicate that strands of DNA were present which were "interesting" and thus he is continuing with the study. I sent, and will send more molar teeth to him, which are perfect for testing, since the DNA is safely protected in the pulp in the interior of each tooth. Examiner: Do you anticipate that the DNA results will indicate that the skulls are not human in origin? Foerster: That is yet to be found out. The skulls from Paracas are a minimum of 2000 years old, and most are cases of cranial deformation, yet we have three specimens that appear to be natural in shape, and thus could be direct descendants from a sub species of human, or a mix of human and "other." The skeletons that we will examine from the Cusco area have never been carbon 14 tested for age, and thus obviously no DNA testing has been done either. The ones we will access are from a remote site in the Cusco area, and are said, by the local museum director Sr. Renato to be more than 7 feet tall, so they are in a category of their own. Access to them will be in late August, and I will go to the site with the director to access both the skeletons, of which there at least five, and extract DNA samples. Examiner: I understand that you are a published author. Could you tell us about your most recent book? Foerster: I have written 10 books now, all of which are on Amazon.com and my website: www.hiddenincatours.com. The latest is called "Crimson Horizon; The Mysterious Sea Kings Of The Pacific" which ties in the fact that auburn haired people once lived on the coast of Peru, on Easter Island, Tahiti, Hawaii and New Zealand, and their descendants are still in each of these places. My theory, partly based on Thor Heyerdahl of Kon Tiki fame's work, is that there were master seafarers in the Pacific prior to the Polynesians, who mixed with these people, and their origin was ancient South America, as in Peru and Bolivia, where we find an abundance of megalithic remains attributed to the much later Inca culture. Examiner: What can people expect from your upcoming tour of Ancient Peru and Bolivia? Foerster: Simply put, to be blown away, and to throw their preconceived notions, and any history books in the garbage. We have a lot of proof that some of the most famous stone megalithic buildings in Peru and Bolivia are as much as 15,000 years old, and were not made by the Inca, but more ancient and auburn elongated skull people, some of whom were called the Viracochan. Recent tours I have done have included British and American engineers who can clearly state that the bronze chisels and stone hammers of the Inca, found in archaeological digs could not have made these structures, whose immense scale defy belief, and who are fitted together without mortar; in some cases a human hair can't fit between these massive stones, some weighing more than 100 tons. Examiner: In a recent video, "Alien Hybrid Human Baby Found In Peru?," you show the remains of a baby with an elongated skull as well as a fetus with an elongated skull. Do you have any theories why these babies may have developed naturally with misshapen skulls? Foerster: These examples are completely natural in shape, and have enormous cranial volume. They are either a different species from us, or, possibly, are a mix of human and alien DNA. Examiner: Is there any possibility that the fetal skull was compressed after death? Foerster: There is no chance that the fetal skull was compressed after death. All of the elongated skull people were of noble royal blood, and were very carefully buried. Examiner: Do you believe these skulls are the remains of aliens from another planet? Foerster: There is a possibility that these are in fact human/alien hybrids, but only DNA testing can prove that. If there are DNA strands from them that don't match the international human genome data base, which they will be compared against, then we have real "smoking gun" data showing that aliens once may have visited this planet, and mixed with humans, or protohumans.
