As all should now be able to see, 4um has a new look. The gist of everything is in place but there will be further tweaking of the look in the coming days.

The software is being specifically redesigned to work with style sheets (css). This will allow fine tuning of fonts to the preference of the forum owner, which was hardcoded into the software previously. That work will be on-going.

Enjoy! Subscribe to *4um Admin News*

It looks so good chris.. And Neil has been hard working to incorporate it with his software... thanks Neil.

There are a lot of new options for posters with links to news sites, some good resources .. browse around and you'll find there are lots of new things other than just the look.. although I will say thats the best part.. :)

jim, see my post above. be patient, please. for now, you can make the font larger in your browser.

My horoscope for today. Daily bad news reminds you that there will always be a colorful array of potential catastrophes available for your panicking pleasure. How appropriate.

Font sizes in general should be pretty much set. Changes there would affect the site for everyone.

the comments are tiny font now and so are the article titles on LC. the poster's names are larger than the comments. it should be the opposite. something got messed up. it wasn't like that yesterday.

i should specify i'm using IE. it's not as bad in firefox, but both were properly sized yesterday. also, if i set my browser at largest fonts, the go buttons go outside the middle column.

The post comment page is readable and nice.

I'll be visiting my father tomorrow, so maybe things will be all better here upon my return.

Good luck with it.

My MyIE2 font setting is at the LARGEST, btw, and Ctrl plus wheel scrolling has no effect upon the font size, for what that may be worth...resolution is 1280 x 1084.

Now it seems that the Post Comment page has caught the teeny-tiny disease.

Looks Great!

It's about twice as wide as my little monitor, though. Anyone else?

on IE, it's still too small. the comments are smaller than the taglines and the article titles on the LC page are still too small.

i should be on til mid afternoon tomorrow to work with you on it. see you then. have a good evening!

check your screen resolution, Foti. it should be at 1024x768. it will fit perfectly without the L/R scroll then.

Thanks for all the hard work sprucing up this site.

The background color is a lot easier on the eyes than the old WHITE, and I already feel a lot more at home with the informal patriotic graphics theme.

Y'all got class!

i just checked my resolution. i had it way up there. i just changed it to 1152x864 and it makes a big difference. in IE, the poster comments are still smaller than the taglines, but the article titles on LC are fine. in firefox, everything looks good.

If you have a mouse with wheel you can adjust font size inside browser by holding down Control Key and wheeling up or down.

Neil, I'm using Firefox and cannot see the entire page unless I close the sidebar, which I use a lot and don't really want to have to close to keep from having to scroll l/r when I come here. Looks great otherwise, I'm glad to see the return of the underlined link.

There's nothing like coming home, walking into a dark room and damn near getting hurt because the lights are off and someone rearranged the furniture.

I'll second that. To me things were fine just the way they were. Nice art work, but people don't come here for art work.

Love the redesign. I have only one suggestion. The article titles need to be a color to offset them more from the information text under them. May I suggest dark olive green (as in the brush stroke under the logo)?
