As all should now be able to see, 4um has a new look. The gist of everything is in place but there will be further tweaking of the look in the coming days.

The software is being specifically redesigned to work with style sheets (css). This will allow fine tuning of fonts to the preference of the forum owner, which was hardcoded into the software previously. That work will be on-going.

Enjoy! Subscribe to *4um Admin News*

Love the redesign. I have only one suggestion. The article titles need to be a color to offset them more from the information text under them. May I suggest dark olive green (as in the brush stroke under the logo)?

Nope. I don't like this. I'm here to concentrate on words and not sideline graphics.

Well hopefully you'll adjust to it.. we wanted to make 4 asthetically pleasing and easy on the eye .. unlike the bright white it was.. and wanted to not look like a retread of other forums..

With the comments, links and threads of 4um, it could NEVER be considered a retread of any other forum.

And, dammit, I don't like change.

Well, that's a scientific fact.

However, when you look at the new 4um page, it requires more concentration. Drats.

To: Neil McIver, ALL (#0) As you navigate, you'll see some things that need tweaking as far as font size and color. It's a work in progress but we were anxious for everyone to see the new logo and art! The design was a joint effort by Zipporah and me, however, we hired a local webdesigner, Chalant Print, who also designed my Bring 'Em Home site, to do the work. Neil is the one who is integrating and implementing it all. Thanks, Neil, for all your effort. Zip and I are very pleased.

come on now, you have to admit, this is far more sophisticated and classy looking than the old look which we threw up in a hurry to get the place open.

Yeah, it looks really good. And I think that maybe I just don't like change too much. The more I get use to it, the more I like it. However I had no problem with the way it was before though.
