I don't know about anyone else but I have been experiencing a lot of slow and erratic response and hang-ups accessing the Internet today. So, I am wondering if it is a general slowdown or just my connection?

I keep having to hit reload and "Try Again". Maybe I need to reboot? I'll give that a try and see how it works. I'm still experiencing the problem.

A swift kick in the pants is often a good thing for problem creatures.

How many tabs you got open? Too many open at once can slow things down. Try closing your browser and restarting it, if that doesn't work then try rebooting. If you still got a slow connection then it could either be your ISP or WiFi connection.

I notice when Firefox has too many tabs open at once and you haven't restarted it in quite a while, it really slows things down. Closing it and restarting it solves the problem.

God is always good!

Either that or open it up, spit in the back, and slap it hard. :-)

Thanks. That seems, at least for the moment, to have done the trick.

Good advice, which I should heed; only 19 open tabs here.

While I have been known to have considerably more tabs open, today I only have 13. Not many at all for me.

Write down all your passwords for a moment if you do not have them committed to heart. Then clear all cookies, kill all temp files, do a disk clean up, then a defrag, if you have any tool bars uninstal them,.

Those are all the simple tricks I know to restore or maintain internet speed.

One of the joys of this iMac that I finally had to plug in a month back...there are no guts to bj - just a huge, silent screen that works!

Kinda like a refrigerator.

Amazing.
