Feds: Felon used sister to buy guns in Missouri

A 28-year-old convicted felon from Crest Hill used his 24-year-old sister as a "straw purchaser" to buy guns in her home state of Missouri and resold them in the Chicago area, federal officials said today.
In March, following an undercover investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, a federal indictment charged Richard "R.J." Carrino with being a felon in possession of firearms, according to a release issued today from the U.S. Attorney's office. He was arrested April 3, pleaded not guilty and was ordered held without bail pending trial.
A superseding indictment returned Wednesday adds charges against Carrino's sister, Angela Marie Carrino, 24, of O'Fallon, Mo., who will be arraigned at a later date in U.S. District Court in Chicago, the U.S. Attorney's office said.
The indictments allege that Richard Carrino on repeated occasions wired money to his sister, who despite knowing it was illegal bought at least five guns in Missouri and sent them to her brother in Crest Hill.
Richard Carrino sold at least three of those guns -- two .45 caliber handguns and one 9mm handgun -- to an undercover ATF agent, along with ammunition at extra magazines, federal officials said.
Upon conviction the Carrinos face more than 10 years in prison.

This is way beyond stupid. How on Earth could this woman buy guns for her brother knowing that he was a convicted felon?
On top of that, this dummy sold three of the guns to an undercover ATF agent. How much more stupid could he get?
