On Wednesday's show, author William Engdahl discussed potential new 'energy wars' in the Mediterranean, issues around GMO crops, and how a group of global elite are gaining control over the world's oil, agriculture and currencies. "The essential strategy of the cartel of banks and big oil companies...is to create a myth of energy scarcity...and one of the means to do that is creating these wars," such as by taking countries like Iraq and Iran, which have huge untapped oil reserves, off the market for years, via wars or threats of war, he explained.

For the first time, we are beginning to see 'wars' over natural gas, as the EU increasingly needs it to meet their mandate to reduce their carbon footprint. Israel recently discovered huge reserves of natural gas offshore, and is becoming an energy player for the first time. Greece, Cypress, and Lebanon have also discovered reserves, as well as Qatar, which has been making possible deals with Syria and Iran. "Immediately, you can begin to sense the geopolitical potential for wars in almost every direction," he commented.

GMO agriculture was started by the same interests that control Big Oil, creating monopolies through vertical integration-- "agribusinesses" for 20-30 giant multinational corporations, he detailed. With GMOs, foreign bacteria or elements are spliced into the DNA of soy or corn, and that's releasing something inherently unstable-- it's fraudulent and reductive science, he remarked. A recent long term study in France looked at rats fed a diet of Monsanto GMO corn for two years, and they found an alarming incidence of cancer tumors, organ damage, and early deaths. Monsanto's own studies have never gone beyond 90 days, he noted. Engdahl believes the elite seek to drastically reduce Earth's population, via wars, disease, vaccines, and other methods.

Also mentioned on the broadcast was that Putin got Israel to give Russia's Gasprom the gas exploration and development rights, giving Russia control of gas to Europe and giving Israel leverage over Putin.

engdahl is an "ex" peak oil believer... he now believes in abiotic oil...

the abiotic oil argument is a red herring, of course, because no matter how the oil is formed, it does not replenish fast enough to be of any consequence within the next few million years

ask somebody in beaumont texas about the spindletop field

and, if oil is forming everywhere, how can anybody control extraction? ...little mom and pop drilling operations would be springing up everywhere now that the price of oil is at $100 per barrel...

so what if your dismal little well only produced three or four barrels a day... that's three or four hundred dollars a day in your pocket... the 536,000 producing wells in the US, as of 2011, were producing on average 10.6 barrels per day, each.

.

putin, i'm sure, is scared shitless of israel's "leverage", seeing as how russia has about fifty times the gas reserves as israel.

.

engdahl seems to have turned into a misdirection operation... he's calculated to appeal to people who are willing to support wars for oil, but would not support wars for israel.

peak oil must be denied at all costs, since peak oil was most likely the most immediate motive for neocons and/or israelis to do 9/11

Still on that "Peak Oil" psyop bandwagon. There is no such thing as Peak Oil. World Oil production continues to climb as the oil is produced by natural geologic processes deep inside the earth. The only current limits on oil production are the artificial constraints imposed by the major oil companies (and ultimately the Rothschilds et. al.) to keep prices up and create artificial shortages for profit. The only problem we have with oil is the dominance of vested interests who are seeking control and wish to prevent the commoners from becoming independent of them.

If that were not true how would you propose to explain the large quantities of hydrocarbons found on the Neptunian moon Triton?

The rest of your nonsense is simply more disinformation.

Do you get a charge out of lying for a living?

good info on what if we never run out of oil?
