It's a tried and proven formula. Thing is though, when I hear the side effects I think to myself "why would I ever want to take something that can cause organ failure and suicidal thoughts"? There just HAS to be a better way.
But apparently that sort of programming DOES work on a significant number of people. It must be a combination of the diet soda, fluoridated water, GMO food, MSG, and other such wonderful things in folk's daily food intake.
There HAS to be some reason why people are so blind.
With the volume of information that has built up over Big Pharma's and the FDA's shenanigans one would think people would wise up, but they don't. I got into an argument with a dietician on the bus a month or two ago, and she was invincibly ignorant. She refused even to consider looking at the damned studies that show how dangerous, and ineffective, a lot of these drugs are. It was just all in one ear and out the other - because the "authorities" had told her that all of those adverse studies were meaningless. Shucks, if someone with a financial interest tells you that studies showing just how damaging their product is ... well who can you trust?

It's all about "belief" and "authority". If an authoritive voice tells you something, or if a person you trust (a doctor for instance) tells you something, well it just HAS to be true. That's just how many people think, it's been programmed into them their entire lives.
To the dietician, her professor and peers told her it's all good, so it MUST be true. Many people can't think for themselves anymore.
The medical establishment has become a religion of sorts, and any questioning of it amounts to heresy, sacrilege, and blasphemy.

Yes. I operate on facts and data so it always blows my mind when someone believes because they believe. I believe in a God because I can see, at least indirectly, the evidence of divinity. I do not believe because someone told me I must. It is interesting about the viewpoint. I had a discussion with two friends a number of years back over the nature of Biblical Law. Who is the more observant:
The one who takes it solely on unquestioned authority because it is written in the Bible?
Or the one who takes Biblical Law, examines it, and sees, based on reason, that it is sound and provides a wholesome path to follow?
I took viewpoint two along with my friend the late Pastor Robert Cryder. (Whose wisdom I still miss despite our disagreements upon some points. He was a fine man.)
