Meet Taylor Powers. The college student, 21, had to be rescued yesterday afternoon off a Colorado mountain after she ingested mushrooms, stripped off her clothes, and scuffled with two classmates with whom she had been hiking. After receiving a 911 call that a female hiker was “high on mushrooms and in distress,” Boulder County Sheriff’s Office deputies and other assorted rescue personnel (35 in total) responded to Chautauqua Park. Powers, seen above, was located by a park ranger who discovered that the University of Colorado undergrad had “removed all of her clothing and was being restrained” by two male companions. Rescuers had to handcuff the unruly Powers, who struggled as she was placed in a rescue basket. Cited for unlawful consumption of a controlled substance, Powers was transported to a Boulder hospital, where she was treated and released last night. “Further charges are pending against others involved,” deputies reported. Powers, a communications major, has not commented on her weekend adventure on her Facebook page (which includes hiking and skiing photos). Poster Comment: We should all feel a great deal of sympathy for this poor young dear. Who among us hasn't been in this position him / herself?

Assuming Powers was in the company of functional males, she should have received a massive injection of pork-power to calm her shroom vapors. She looks to be in her early to mid thirties at a minimum. That is not a "little girl" look. Not that I'm criticizing - and yes she looks like kind of girl who can set fires.

Innocent you say? She would seem to have very mature tastes for a 21 year old. Now that I think of it she reminds me of an old friend ... It is not a matter of growth hormones though, but the expression on her face. I was judging her age more from her facial expression which is not that of some sweet innocent young flower. And again I'm not being critical because even when I was younger I always preferred very grown up women. OI, there are a LOT of teenage girls who have 'that look'. It's a matter of Facebook and MySpace influences, and a matter of how things are in the modern world.
I was being sarcastic when I described Taylor Porter as being sweet and innocent. And yes I am being judgmental. She's 21 - way too old to be so trashy stupid. And I can say that about another woman without fear of "sexist" recriminations. Give me a friggin' break!
It's a matter of parents wanting to be friends with their children instead of sharing personal time and providing structure and discipline.
It's a matter of how things are in the year 2013.
PS: Any sort of advice or discipline in the year 2013 can get you arrested, depending on how vindictive said "child" is.
Oh, I definitely picked that up, agreed, and just took it to play with the thought. A 21 year old with TWO MALE roommates is unlikely to be placed on any posters promoting chastity. I'm not being judgmental in a negative way - just looking at the available evidence and drawing the same conclusion you did. Who she sleeps with, how many, etc., is her business. At 21 she is old enough to make those decisions. My sole point, other than to use it as an occasion for double meanings, was simply that her expression is not one I would normally associate with a 21 year old. Hell, I had two sisters and neither one could have been described as a chaste little flower past their 16th birthday. How many years ago were they that age? I'm not suggesting corporal punishment. I'm saying that perks (car and or spending $) can be given or with held. Most of all it's parents spending time with their children up until they leave home for college - ie. being involved in and sharing common interests like sports ( skiing? tennis? hockey? theater? robotics? flying?)
Oh I wasn't talking about that. It's a matter of saying "time to go to bed and get off the computer, you have school in the morning". How many years ago were they that age? 1970's
